Concerning resturant-Food was exceptional quality and worth every cent. Atmosphere was calming,relaxing and renewing. Services was provided with a smile and even a joke or two,yet very professional. Excelent for a night out with the girls or a romantic dinner with hubby. Decor is unique and soft on the eyes. Very enjoyable aswell. Refreshing! Highly recommend it.

Whilst the rooms were clean and pleasant and the food good we had certain problems. The dining room / convention room were one and the same which made life difficult, time being wasted and had not been advertised as so.
During my stay I had a fall outside on the somewhat uneven paving and whilst the owner showed some concern it did not go very deep.
We had decided and informed the venue that we would not be staying for a 3rd night and this was done some 2 weeks before our event and he said he would refund us. To date this has not happened. Finally what with the fall and a bashed up face, broken specs etc., I inadvertently left my camera behind which had been put into a cupboard by a staff member. On 3 occasions I was assured by the owner that he would send this to me via Postnet on a particular day and do the refund.
Neither the posting of the camera or the refund have been forthcoming, and I have since had to make other arrangements to get my camera back.
Needless to stay this is my 1st and last visit to 44 on Ennis.
Surely in the hospitality industry attitude of staff/ owner is all important.

AMAZING food, good drinks, nice owners. Rooms are small but clean and fairly priced (the owner even gave us a small discount!). We traveled all through South Africa a month ago and still remember 44 on Ennis as one of the best places we stayed.

Stayed at 44 on Ennis for the week end , was fantastic , The atmosphere was great , the staff very helpful and friendly. Food was out of this world. the owners of the lodge are extremely friendly and are so welcoming that you never actually wan to leave. It was very cold in Ermelo but the fires in the lodge and outside make it so nice and warm and homely. I cant wait to return and listen to the music and relax at 44 on Ennis. A definite 10 out 10.
