There are no better hosts in the region. Great rooms, great breakfast
Great little place if you're travelling up in the UP. Our cabin was super clean and comfortable. Could have used a few more outlets, but that's a trend these days. The owner goes out of his way to put on a fantastic breakfast for all his customers. You feel like family Got a lot of info from him on what attractions to visit and where it's located. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit there!
The owners are very nice and accommodating. We got in super late and there's always someone there that can check you in. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was made in the morning and was very tasty and the owners were welcoming.
This was a lot like visiting a good friend at the old house they are in the process of fixing up. The hosts were awesome and breakfast was close to a community experience, but the rooms could still use a little fixing up. We stayed in two different rooms here, the first a "cabin." It was quite small and dim, and it was a little hard to escape the musty smell. The second was a more traditional hotel room, which was more spacious. I'd have probably given a more positive review if we had only stayed in this room. Still, the bathroom in both rooms was small and seemed to be only partly the finished product, in need specifically of improvement to the shower door and shower itself. The best thing about the hotel (which might more accurately be called a motel) is it's accessibility to the many wonderful outdoor places the UP has to offer!
The people are nice. The room was clean, and also cleaned well every day. Pipes constantly knocking on walls. Not a huge deal, but at first we thought we had a horrible neighbor, only to realize that we must've been placed close to a water heater or unsecured pipes within the walls. Again, nice people. All was well. I didn't see the awesome sausage that I read about, nor was the jacuzzi running because it is summer(according to staff). So I was disappointed to some degree. Overall, it isn't a bad place. I wouldn't stay there again due to the cost. I can find a more accommodating hotel closer to St. Ignace for 20-30 dollars cheaper with many more options for shopping and food. This is my personal preference. Many people like the isolation In that case, I do recommend staying at this hotel. They could use a mini fridge and microwave in the rooms just for convenience for all who would rather prepare their own food.
Cabin style, cosy clean rooms here. We enjoyed our stay. Hearty, filling breakfast in the morning.
There were a lot of mosquitoes which got in which we had to swat away. Carry bug spray with you!
Highly recommend staying here.
Friendly staff, clean but small rooms, easy on/off location from Highway 2, moderate pricing, and very close to Lake Michigan.
The hosts are wonderful. This place is clean, cute and comfy
Clean room, fresh fruit at breakfast, very friendly hosts! I appreciated that Leslie pre-checked us in via text, as we were arriving quite late and had a baby to get to bed. We will definitely stay here again!
Good clean room, comfortable bed, pet friendly, all this at a great price. This is all I want in a place.
After a great night of sleep we had a hot cup of coffee along with a quick bite before continuing along our journey. We will stay here again next time were in the area.
Perfect little hotel with cleans rooms. The BREAKFAST IS SECOND TO NONE!!!! Owners where very friendly and personable. Will stay again if in the area.
