I grew up a road over from Wintergreen Tree Farm; so close I worked there for many years. I was lucky enough experience the succulent blueberries when they were in their prime; unfortunately the Stehli family lost the entire crop a couple years ago. I also had the pleasure of planting, maintaining, and selling many of the trees on the farm. Those years have come and gone along with the trees but the feeling still remains the same. Wintergreen Tree Farm is an experience worth having. Good people, good area, and great trees.
Some of the best looking trees I've ever seen. We've been going for a few years now and will continue to go. The trees are very well kept. Nearly all of the trees have excellent shape and there is a wide variety of sizes. You can walk out of your car and spot a tree you like within minutes. It's almost too easy. The owners and staff are all very friendly.
Definitely worth the drive if you're out of the way.
Best chestnuts ever, 2 years and 2 chestnuts were bad will be coming back for 3rd year on the 7th. Friendly family, beautiful homestead.
Lots of choices - great looking trees - very friendly folk!!
