Open from 8am to 5pm. Ranger station has helpful info. Restrooms, parking, and covered picnic table areas available. Tent camping permitted. Access to the Pacific Crest Trail, and many other short hikes available. I'm seen big horn sheep out there occasionally. Cool your feet in the flowing water. This place does not disappoint.

Well maintained and clean restrooms when we went. Bring your own trash bag rule. Please help maintain the cleanliness of this area. Very relaxing and great hiking trails too

Very easy walk on good paths. Some significant climbs if you wish to take the switch backs to the top. River adds a beautiful attraction on several spots on the bottom of the canyon.

This is not a place for tariler or RV camping. This place is more of a tent or day hike area. Me and my husband was not expecting to be parked in a parking lot with our trailer. Its very packed during the day but at night its so peaceful. Most likely we will not come here again.

I've lived in the area for many years but had no idea this place existed. We recently heard about it and decided to give it a go. We were so impressed by the beauty of this place. You can do a short visit and walk around the crystal clear little lakes, or you can go on an adventure and take a hike. We definitely want to go back.

50 parking spots, fill up fast. Come early. Nice trails, the walk to the river is not bad. Cool picnic area, nice and shady. Park rangers are friendly and helpful.

This place is a gem. Although it has gotten much more popular in recent years, it is still worth visiting. When the snow on the mountains is melting, the water really rushes. While we did not see any bighorn sheep, they are around. Nice little trip from Palm Springs. Please don't go if it's closed as fire risk in the area is high and there's no nearby fire station.

An oasis in the desert that had just this year achieved National Monument status. There are some pools to let the kids wade in. Also nice to cool your feet.

What an unexpected surprise at the end of the long dusty road. This Conservancy is the shining star in the desert with a traditional park setting, paved parking lot, visitor center, public toilets , fenced in ponds and well maintained walking trails. Worth a family trip or great daytime date. This is a place you will remember and return to.

Privately held (conservancy) & they care about natural wildlife. There's actually open clean (crystal clear) running water here. In a valley where there's no surface water (palm springs, desert hot springs).

This place is part of the Wilderness Conservancy, and has been remodeled in 2008. It is a hidden jewel, and a quiet little place. Definitely worth a look. Very long hiking trails can be accessed from this jump-off point. Fun for the whole family!

Nice spot for a hike in the winter/spring. Short drive up a pretty decent dirt road to get to parking area. Some interesting ruins of what looks like an old motel right off the lot. Very little information posted about, area is pretty much deserted.
