Great place. Early in the day it's ruled by families, kids birthday parties, etc. but never crazy busy. This is great of, like us, you're there with your own kids. As the hours pass, the families swap out for adults and the usual beer and bowling experience that you might expect. Quality food options at reasonable prices. Decent beer although not a huge selection (maybe a dozen on tap?). Nice bathrooms, including a secret diaper changing station on the first floor (ask for it as it's behind an otherwise unlabeled door in the second handicap bathroom). Wide range of bowling ball weights from maybe 6 pounds up to at least 15. Kid / toddler "ramps" available for every lane and automatic gutter rails configurable per bowler.

First time there. Very difficult to get them on phone. Prices misleading. Didn't know 8 person included non bowlers until I got there with a group of 8 kids 3 adults. 2 of us stayed in lobby and alternated. Set up to charge for 2 lanes or more. Seating really for 2-4. Starts timer for bowling before bowling shoes were given to our group and Clock is ticking even if THEY gave the wrong sizes. Imagine getting 8 kids to take off their coats, hats etc. and shoes in space made for 4 or less and then sift through the group of shoes given to find your size, put them on, sign in the names on score board it's 20-25 minutes in and you've paid full price for 5-10 minutes. Clock continues to run so you are responsible for not going over 1/2 hour intervals but they can start it before you start(from lobby). If you order food (expensive, so I didn't) the timer doesn't stop so you are taking away from your own bowling time again that's paid, so you are being double charged. Although it was full its not kid friendly; only Sundays are family night. It's really a emo/ rock/ alternative drinking spot. Of 3 people on 1 was decent, rest were dismissive except to reiterate the charges. PS you must have a credit card with an " Open tab" while you are there. I'm tired writing about it! Very disappointed.

Pretty Much waited 4 hours just to bowl!
And payed a cover to enter even though I just wanted to bowl.. The staff is completely misleading about the wait time to Bowl. Next Time I’ll just stay in Manhattan and pay more! Sucks because the 1st Time I came this place I had an amazing experience! But I guess this place is a one hit Wonder! #neverAgainresponse / report this review -

Saw Caleb Hawley open for Allen Stone and it was really good. Acoustics were excellent and it's a music venue and bar rolled into a bowling alley with pretty good food. It was crowded with all types of people, not just stereotypical hipsters, so that was cool.
I'd go back for another show but I'll more likely be back in order to bring the family for bowling.
Note: the food, drinks and bowling are not cheap but not overly expensive, it just adds up.response / report this review -

This is not a place to bowl. It's a place to wait in line for 3 hours drinking their cocktails and spending a fortune while you wait to bowl. But Heaven forbid you say something like that to a friend while there or a noisy cashier will decide to flex their muscles and get you kicked out for "being too drunk" even if you just got there, haven't had a single drink, and paid their cover 5 minutes before. Going there was the most insulting night of my life. If you really want to go, keep your head down and voice low and don't say a word against them and you'll probably have a good time. But I can't support a bar that kicks patrons for "being drunk" because they're having a private conversation that dislikes their policy.

Went for a live show. It was crowded but not unruly. Security is good and the bathrooms are clean. What more could you want?

This was an amazing venue with awesome people to be around. Everyone from the staff to the patrons were totally awesome. The personnel working the event were way more than hospitable, which made working the show for Guitar Legend Dick Dale super easy going with a smooth flowing. Thank you for all your hard work. I look forward to coming back next year.

I love coming here for date night with my hubby and girls night out. The most fun I have is during the family time on Saturday morning with the kids. The dance floor has these lights and is free for them to enjoy. We always get loose after playing a game.
The food is also yummy and the drinks are awesome. Best of all is the diversity at Brooklyn Bowl of people, music and entertainmentlove it!response / report this review -

great venue, bowling, live music, great beer. parking is not too bad on the block. development is still going on in the area. i would recommend the place to anyone looking to bowl or live music.

Some of the best musical acts in the country play here every month. Great food, good beer selection, large dance floor. Bowling is a little spendy, but hey, your getting a live concert while you're at it!

What a unique locale for watching a concert. As a concert venue, bar, or bowling alley, it wouldn’t be the best in category for any of the three, but each is quite good and together make for an interesting and unique experience. The bowling lanes are well upkept and the space feels modern and trendy. There can be a very long wait during concerts though, so make sure to put your name in early. The bar is fairly good with some decent craft beer selections and non-astronomical prices. The concert space is not bad as well with a nice wide open area that is close to the bar and bowling. The best part is being able to watch the concert while bowling thanks to a raised area.

Nice event space with a solid schedule of performers, mostly cover bands and people popular a decade ago. Great place to party it up on a weeknight and dance on the weekend. You can bowl too, if you like! Get there before 8 for some awesome happy hour specials!

I have been here twice. The later ended with management asking one person in our group to leave because she used a cuss word and they over heard. Not kidding.
There are MULTIPLE Brooklyn bowling venues with better hospitality, management, and ethics than Brooklyn Bowl. Take your business elsewhere. This is unacceptable for a nighttime establishment. Hopefully the owners are able to rid of this toxic environment.
Their "themed" decade nights are simply throwing a few of (insert decade here) songs into the mix of top 20 every hour.
Overall, take your business elsewhere. Lousy management, high prices and a mediocre time is what you will find here.response / report this review
