The best fish boil and at a very reasonable price. We also went here for breakfast once and it was absolutely delicious! The waitress was sweet and the atmosphere was warm and feels like home. I can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding old fashion cooking that is to die for. Don't miss the fish boil. It's entertaining and offers wonderful meal of whitefish and potatoes. Does require a reservation and is a bit expensive but we'll worth it. Their breakfasts are great also.

Everything was top notch tonight including the harpist who played our favorite love song! We will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in two months, so this was another romantic evening for us. Shrimp and steak entrees were excellent, savory French Onion soup and warm cloverleaf rolls to go along with it. To top it off- a chocolate Schaam Torte with mint ice cream. We have been coming here for years and it is always excellent food and service. 5 stars from us!

Thee place for breakfast on the peninsula. Get there early on the weekends or you are guaranteed to have a wait. Best hash browns hands down! I have only eaten breakfast here but I'm sure I'm missing something by not trying other meals here! Do not miss this stop!

The White Gull Inn is classic Door County. One of the prettiest times to go is during the winter: looking at their decorations is reminiscent watching Macy's window display. If you go during the winter, don't forget to try the Door County Stuffed French Toast. This dish is a plate full of fluffy french toast with cherries and cream cheese, topped with delicious maple syrup. If you aren't up for the challenge, they have half-orders available. If you're here in the summer, try their famous Fish Boil. Fish Boils are very unique to this area, and a definite cultural experience. Although it sounds strange, the fish tastes wonderful. In the summer it can get busy, but there are few better places to wait. Take your pager for a quick walk down to Sunset Park and join the crowd of people as they cheer when the sun sets.

I have to agree with these other reviews. This place has the greatest service and food I've eaten in a while! My favorite dish has got to be the Nice Guy Hash with over easy eggs on top. It's a cheesy and peppery delicious treat. If you are arouns Door County, give this place a fair chance.

I was not very pleased with the experience my wife and I had here. The wait staff wasn’t too friendly and seemed all of them seemed like they didn’t want to be there. the food was good. My wife ordered the chicken since she doesn’t like fish. I had the fish boil. If it weren’t for the wait staff, I’d give this one more star. But we won’t be returning. This was the only restaurant my wife and I went to where we weren’t pleased. And we ate out all 7 days of our stay in Door County.

The fish boil was a lot of fun. I've never done anything like it before so it was neat to hear a bit of history from the master boiler. Everyone sits outside while the fish boils and once it's cooked you get in line to be served and are directed to your tables. They explained everything in detail and our server even helped explain how to debone the fish. One of the best parts is the little cups of melted butter on the table for pouring on your fish and potatoes. The meal came with whitefish, bread coleslaw, potatoes and cherry pie and ice cream for dessert. They have wine and beer available to purchase as well. They offered chicken for people who don't eat fish, but I didn't see anyone eating it. I wouldn't go if you have a vegetarian in your party -- it is a fish boil after all. You should definitely get a reservation ahead of time since they might not have room, but you can ask to be added to the standby list if they're full. It was well worth the experience!

Breakfast was outstanding at the White Gull Inn! The Door County Cherry French Toast was delicious and filling; I'd recommend the ham as a side and just get the half order as to not further increase the percentage of overweight Americans. Expect a wait, hopefully it's nice out enough to enjoy the coffee bar around the back before your meal--it's a nice place to pass the time while waiting.

My newly husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was FANTASTIC! The staff was awesome. We stayed in 3 different rooms as it was pretty booked up, but they were all lovely rooms and the staff moved our all of our stuff from room to room which was an added bonus. The rooms were clean, cozy, and wonderfully decorated. We ate breakfast each morning we were there and it was delicious! Their cherry stuffed french toast is to DIE for! We also attended a fish boil as it's Door County tradition and that was delicious as well! Overall it was one of the best experiences we've ever had and we would gladly stay again if given the chance.

It was good and decent. The wait was a bit long, but they simply don't have very many tables and by the time you get to your table, you kinda want to sit there and enjoy it. LOL, which is why the wait is so long. We had breakfast food and it was good. The hot chocolate was silky smooth. The coffee was very good.

Just want to say thank you to Emilie for providing an excellent service today. She was our server for both breakfast and fish boil dinner and she was great! She was very attentive to our needs and always has a smile on her face ! The cherry French toast with cream cheese was amazing ! Try it out for yourself and it is as good as other people have said that it was!

Came on a Saturday morning during off season to try the much hyped breakfast at the White Gull. True to reputation there were many cars outside and a wait for a table inside. Thankfully the waiting area is comfortable and the wait itself shorter than we were told. Immediately upon entry to the dining room you can't help but notice how amazing it smells. We sat at our table and my first thought of the menu was that everything is actually very reasonably priced. I ordered the Door County Omelet and because I wanted to try the famous stuffed French toast, ordered that to share with my wife. The omelet was fluffy, well cooked and the filling was plentiful and tested very fresh. The dollop of fresh sour cream on top really added to it. The English muffin with cherry preserves was excellent as well. The stuffed French toast is extremely rich, but very very good. I normally do not order very sweet, carb heavy items for breakfast so I was worried, but it really is great and worth trying. The restaurant itself is smallish with nice country decor. Tables are close together but not so close you feel uncomfortable. Service was prompt and polite. As mentioned earlier I thought prices were quite reasonable. White Gull Inn's restaurant comes highly recommended and it lived up to its reputation. We'd dine here again.
