Food and service was great but required valet parking is not right. I was told that it was complimentary but they work for tips. I put 5 $1 bills in my pocket and when I saw the line to get my car I took $1 out for every 5 minutes I waited for my car. It only cost me $2 for the tip after a 15 minute wait for my car at 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. I will not be back. Too bad. Great view.

This place is very cool because it is on a decent beach, although not huge, and you can pull your boat up and onto the sand and drop anchor. Jump out of the boat, grab some lawn chairs and sit in the water or on the beach and take in the warm sun rays.
The drinks were okay and priced about as expected. Live bands on certain nights and lots of nice scenery while having a cold drink make this a neat place to visit.
The deep water area was not very clearly marked during our boat trip, so we had to rely on technology to make sure we didn't run aground while pulling up to the beach.
there were jet ski rentals across the way and lots of people out relaxing and having a good time here and in the area.response / report this review -

Got together after work with coworkers. Very nice place with outdoor seating if you prefer to eat outside. Vallet parking if prefer.
We order the cheese pizza which was very tasty and delicious. Had an order of chicken wings as well. Delicious 😋 almost forgot to mention that they are on the beach. 🏖👍💑👨👩👧👦 Stop in and experience good eating and fun times at the same place for the whole family.response / report this review -

Drove up from Sarasota to meet some friends from out of town here. We arrived when it was dark outside, and wished that I could have been able to enjoy the view. Food was about what I expectedover-priced "beach" food, but I don't think anyone ever eats on the water in Florida with high culinary hopesat least I don't. Service was pretty good. We had a nice evening.

Fantastic! I brought my family here for dinner when they landed at TIA during rush hour. We love the free valet (dad can't walk far). We walked in around 5:30 and immediately seated on the patio, which is dog friendly. We had a phenomenal sunset, great food, and good service. Too many yummy options to choose from on this menu!

I was going to rate a 1-star, but there was 1 saving grace. This is my second experience here. My first visit was several years ago - it was nothing memorable then. This visit we stopped here and decided to eat outside. We were seated and waited over 20 minutes for a server and no one came by. When 2 other tables were seated AND waited on, we drew the line and went inside to say something, because that is unacceptable. After explaining another waitress our complaints they sat us in another section - where AGAIN we were ignored. At this point we normally would have just got up and left if we weren't so hungry. Here lies the only saving grace that got this place 2-stars. Finally another server came by - asked us of we were being served and said he would take care of us even though it wasn't his section. Marshall is the ONLY reason I'm giving this place any stars. He was a fantastic server, but unfortunately seems like he was ONLY decent employee in the place. The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about, typical bar-fare that we expected. So, this place has a nice view of the bay and ok food, but it's not worth the absolutely terrible service.

I use to go there and recommend to my friends from out of town. They have grown and now are no longer the best place to go. Now $5.00 just to park your car. If you want to go to the beach bar $5.00 per person. For a group of 4 that's $25.00 and you didn't even get anything. After paying for their over proceed drinks it's really not worth it. Go across Hwy 60 to Bahama Breeze. Same atmosphere and equal food and service. I will no longer be pushing Whiskey Joe's. Was a great pace but have overgrown their venue.

Coming on Sunday night to the beach bar with my family to spend some time like time before. .. and guess what! Time before was free to access! Now you have to pay to enter and see a DJ not even a band. That's why is almost empty. This the 2nd Time happen. I definitely not coming back .

Whiskey Joe's is a must stop near the Tampa airport. Many times it is the first and last stop and meal when arriving or departing Tampa. They bay front bar and restaurant location is welcoming while the food and drink are outstanding. Outside deck seating is also available. The last visit two of us shared Joe's Loaded Nachos which ended up being our afternoon meal. There is also a beach bar that looks like a blast to experience when you are not in the mood for the normal restaurant routine.

Looks like it used to be a happening spot in the 90s or so. It was a Friday night when I went. Great cool bartenders but it was really dead. The place is huge but didn't have many patrons. OR maybe it's so big it just seems like that.
Pros: great bartenders, quick service, good drinks

Enjoyable first visit. Sat outside on the deck right on the water. Arrived early and glad I did as it was getting busy, quickly. I had the Grouper Sandwich (blackened) w/fries. All very tasty! Quick and friendly service from Jen. Will be back soon to try some other items on the menu.

We sat inside but at a large window that gave a great view of the water, and some folks jet-skiing and net fishing. Nice beachy decor and the service was excellent. The parking is valet-only it seemed, which was convenient but added a cost to the meal for tips (valet service is free). They were very quick about it though, so that was nice. Food was great, and we enjoyed the meal.

Been here for 30 min. In out on the beach bar. Went to the bar 3 times to ask if the server was coming. Unless you have unlimited patience this is a good place for you. Bartender wasn't very friendly. Look to be annoyed when asked if I can get help. I actually like the place . Just want a good experience especially bringing my father in law here from Washington. Was excited to bring him here until this happened. Any ways place is good just ducky service today.

Cool bar with a fun environment. But what really made this place stick out to me was our bartender Haley! She is a rockstar. My girlfriend and i both work in the industry and appreciate a true professional. Great personality and fantastic work ethic!!!! If you hate the beach, beautiful sunsets, and all around good times it would be worth your time just to come have a cocktail with Haley!

Really close/ convenient to the airport! How perfect to have dinner at the beach just after arriving at Tampa airport!!
The fish tacos were delicious. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The beer and cocktail choices were great!
Fun atmosphere!! They even lit the fire pit at the beach as it got closer to sun down.response / report this review
