I purchased an E bike a few years ago, a brand that wheel and sprocket no longer sells. The battery has since died and Jesse went the extra mile to get me a new battery and back on the road. I hope to replace it soon with the new Trek version. Thanks Jesse and Wheel and Sprocket
I walked in and received great help from George, an older acquaintance of my fiance from triathlon when they were in college. He helped me pick out aerobars for my bike that I will be using triathlon this season. I told him that I was going to poke around the bikes for a minute before checking out. Perfect!
I was looking at a Trek Madone 9.2, an expensive bike but nothing I can't afford. Jerry walked up to my fiance and myself and asked if we needed anything and we responded "I think we're just poking around, this is a beautiful bike". He didn't make conversation, took the bike out of my hands, leaned it up against the rack and walked away. Instead of telling him that I was disappointed in his:
1. Lack of enthusiasm that I am looking at purchasing an expensive item in the store
2. That his awkward approach in asking how serious I was about buying a bike(which I have been asked in the store before, causing me to purchase my bike from Erik's bike shop)
3. Overall lack of concern about my need as a customer
I chose to put the $140 aerobars back and will be getting them online and probably saving some money. Once again, I am reminded why I shop at Eriks for serious dollar purchases.
Horrible experience, Took my bike there twice and to their hales corners location once and still did not resolve the issue I was having with it. in addition to this every time I took it into their service department they had a very smug know it all attitude and I felt as if I was an annoyance to them.
I even went as far as to tell them what I believed the issue was (brake squeal - had another bike with the same wheel and swapped wheels, problem was reproduced on the bike that it was swapped with!) and felt as if they simply ignored me.
I took it to a competitor in Thiensville and had an excellent experience and the problem was solved. I also discovered that the bike I bought from them had been serviced for an issue related to the front wheel before I bought it and had the front wheel replaced.
Awesome shop! Service is quick and they care about the cycling community. I've had a positive experience every time I've shopped at W&S, whether it be having a bottom bracket looked at or buying parts.
My family has bought nearly all of our bikes from Wheel and Sprocket for many years (mostly Trek). The staff at all of the locations is reliably great. Will be going back here for many years to come.
Every time I go to this store the staff are so helpful. Whether I am there to purchase a bike, browse sale items, or pick up random supplies, I always leave with what I need.
