I love renting from Westwinds Real Estate. They are great and I have never had a problem with them fixing problems in my apartment. When a report a problem they will come out and fix it within the next 24 hours. I will rent from them as long as I am renting. My experience with them has been great.

Worst property managers I have ever had since I moved to Iowa City. They bought our building from Southgate, who was great, and has completely ran it into the ground. They don't fix anything around the building unless it directly costs them money (broken pipes, etc). The elevator broke and I was stuck in it for a HALF HOUR. The emergency maintenance guy just ignored my phone calls and my husband had to pry the door open to get me out. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

A few years ago, when I was still renting, my heat went out during the coldest part of winter. I reported it to Westwinds and it took them 1 week to get it fixed. Todd and Teague came over to "talk to me" when I told them I didn't think I should have to pay my rent during that period since it wasn't safe and I was unable to stay there. Todd responded by telling me I would have been fine sleeping in an apartment that was only 40 degrees and there was no way they were going to reimburse me. I ended up moving out and subleasing my place because I knew I couldn't depend on them.

They were very polite other than the fact that it took them a month to review our application. I am giving them one star because they only mentioned our applications after a month because I called and left a voicemail demanding what was going on. Not very responsive.

At first Westwinds was a great place to rent from. My landlords name was Teague and he was not so great. He communicated innapriotely with tenants and also had a secret relationship with a tenant from a different unit. They were slow with requests. Whenever a problem occurred that needed to be solved soon it took between a week and two weeks to get resolved. Everyone else there was nice and problem solving. The units are beautiful and worth it.

I came in contact with Teague at WestWinds after I was looking for a property manager for a unit I was interested in buying. After a few conversations, Westwinds became my go-to team for everything real estate. The team at WestWinds are very professional and effective in getting things done. From getting me informed of new listings that fit my criteria through all the process of purchasing units and property management. They are very straight forward and have high integrity. They are not pushy and they get value by first providing value that meets their clients needs. Todd is very experienced and have a very calm demeanor. There was a unit that I went to see with him and Teague and I really wanted, he was able to point out the different environmental hazards and some areas of concern with the foundation and walls. He saved me from a potentially costly mistake down the line. They are also very responsive to inquiries and will do everything possible to make you have peace of mind. I am glad that I got to work with WestWinds and I look forward to years of doing good business with them.

I rented from Westwinds for four years, and during that time Teague Case and his team took very good care of me--always friendly and professional, addressing any issue in a timely fashion. When it came time to think about buying a home, Teague suggested his dad Todd could help me, and I'm glad he did. Todd gave me the same personal attention that I had come to expect from the rental side of Westwinds. He listened to all of my thoughts about what I was looking for and showed me a number of properties that fit many of my criteria. He was never pushy and always seemed to have all the time in the world for me. We also had several good laughs along the way. His advice and guidance throughout the purchase process were invaluable to me and he has since contacted me several times to see how things are going in the new house. I can't say enough good things about Todd, Teague, and the folks at Westwinds! If you're in the market to rent or buy a home, I would recommend them at the top of any list. Thanks, Westwinds!

Westwind real estate was really helpful and easy to work with! Being college students, and close to first time renters a lot of other landlords make it harder to rent from. Westwind made the process easy and fast, and paying rent every month is a breeze with the online payment option. Any problems that have come up in the unit are quickly taken care of. Would recommend to rent from!

I had a condo in one of the holiday road buildings. I lived there for 2 years and then decided to rent it out. It was the first time to do the rent "business". I then asked Mr Teague Case from Westwinds to manage it for me until we recently sold it out. Mr. Case did a great job. He responded my calls/emails quickly. I am satisfied with his work and strongly recommend him to other people.
