  Evansville's West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is the best street festival around. The food alone is worth the trip.

  This is a private club made up of Evansville West Side businessmen. It is an outstanding organization of 300 active members, all men. They hold a fall festival annually on the first full week of October. This Westside Nut Club fall festival generates thousands of dollars that are then given back to the community over the next year through grants to schools and other nonprofit groups. This Fall Festival provides yet another venue for other nonprofit groups to earn money for their unique group as well. It's a win win opportunity for the entire community. I will make note that this Fall Festival has been touted as the biggest street event second only to the Mardi Gras.

  This is an AWESOME, Charitable Organization that raises 100's of thousands of dollars for the local community. Established in 1921 and still going strong with the 2nd largest street festival in the United States, every year on the first full week of October.
