It is a beautiful library, good to work here nice tables and chairs, good internet never had a problem with it, good computer service but homeless people hanging out bringing their food and sleeping here is a true issue.
If you need a secluded room for a group study or to ran a presentation this is a good place for you (you ll need to schedule the room in advance). Coffee place downstairs has great espressos and delish quick bites, bookstore downstairs is small but has great prices and it is good to discover an authors unknown to you
What a wonderful change to the landscape of West Hollywood. I remember the place used to be a dimly lit parking lot with tennis courts and lots of gay cruising. Now it looks like an Apple Store with its modern architecture with great use of glass and rooftop tennis court. Simply marvelous!!!
I understand it's a public library, but some people are cleaning themselves in the bathrooms, leaving stink and mess on chairs, looking at porn on the computers and causing interruptions. Perhaps it might be a good idea to have some handi wipes available and possibly have some kind of monitoring, for sanitation and safety's' sake.
Fantastic selection of Designer/Fashion books and magazines. A really beautiful space.
Great Library. The staff is attentive and helpful. The resources are other on and not overwhelming. The reading areas are calm and peaceful. The Internet is easily accessible and fast. A few homeless but that's typical of any urban library.
One of the better libraries in the city. Beautiful architecture and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The wifi speed is not the fastest but definitely better than other public libraries I've been to.
Tons of light, great spaces for studying. Helpful staff.
6 stars.
PS.
In response to a review below which claims "homeless wandering around": inside the library that is not at all the case. There are a few oddballs, but nobody noticeably vagrant or remotely disruptive. I'm honestly surprised, I don't know how they manage it.
I dropped my wallet here last week and it got turned in to the front desk before I even left, everything still in it. Pretty impressive.
