I couldn't find the Oxnard dictionary ANYWHERE in this place. I asked for help but nobody seemed to know where it was located. I wanted to try to get a word added to the Oxnard dictionary.

Great library. It's spacious enough to find a nook in the library to read or get some work done quietly even when it's busy. Friendly staff is always available for help. I'm going to take 1 star from this review because of the bums.

Bums are ruining the library experience. They are smelly, drunk, loud, creepy and just bad for the library overall. As an adult male I can look past all that. It's not good for children though.

I enjoy this library; plenty of resources and nice librarians who are experts at finding what I need.

But it's sad to know the unpleasant experience of a mother and children at our very own Public Library? !

THIS THE BEST LIBRARY OXNARD HAS TO OFFER. IN ALL MY YEARS LIVING IN MY CITY, THIS LIBRARY HAS GIVEN ME GREAT HELP WETHER IT'S A COMPUTER, PRINTER, COPY MACHINE OR THE BOOKS IN RICHED WITH KNOWLEDGE. THIS IS THE BEST LIBRARY I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE AND HAVE EVER VISITED. I LOVE THIS LIBRARY!!!

WiFi is pretty slow what the heck

Has a bunch of interesting books and media

Kind of hard to find a seat sometimes especially if you need an power outlet

It's nice and quite so all around it's pretty OK

I would not award them any stars. I am very disappointed with this library. They are not honoring their mission statement. They are not providing free and equal access to resources or services. I just relocated to Oxnard and I don't have access to a printer at home. I went to the library to print out paperwork that I need to enroll my son in preschool. I took my 3 year old son in the stroller. When I entered the computer lab I was informed that strollers were prohibited. I was also informed that I would not be able to use the computer since their policy "printed in black and white" indicates that there is only "one person per computer" and my 3 year old son and I count as 2 people. By the way, this policy for the computer lab is not posted on their website. It is posted by the computer lab. I informed the attendant that my son would not be accessing the computer. The attendant then informed me that I would have to use the computers outside the lab and that he could waive the two dollar fee. Yes that would have been fine, but in the future when I go to the library with all of my children I will be restricted to use the computers outside of the lab and pay two dollars an hour. This is a discriminatory practice against families.
This is incredibly disappointing. My kids love spending time at the library. I will not be a patron at this library or any of them in the county for that matter. I will not allow my children to be patrons either. I will not support an institution that has such discriminatory practices against families.

Well before it was so good to come in this library but now they are getting hard on the homeless people.before they dont care if there is a lot of homeless using the wifi but now they are turning the wifi off when they see a lot of homeless then when the homeless leave they will turn on the wifi.its like now they are discriminating a person if he is a homeless.homeless people are also humans yeah they make mistake in their lives no body is perfect if you think you are perfect then i dont know what to tell you just dont judge the book by its cover

This library has short stingy hours in the weekends, so plan on arriving before opening if you want a seat. This library tends to get crowded during 12-1 pm on weekdays and 3-5 pm on weekends. They need to expand the computer room. Some of the homeless people are disrespectful and loud inside the library. The librarians that walk around tells them to be quiet sometimes, which they refuse to do. Don't leave your bags unattended. I have witnessed theft twice at this library. They also need more study rooms. There is plenty of space to walk around in the library and I believe that if book racks get reorganized, they will have even more space for seats and tables. The space inside the library is not utilized to its full potential. I will not mention the homeless here. But keep in mind that special needs will be here on occasion. I have been going to this library since 2007, nothing worth noting has changed since then. This is an honest review from an Oxnard resident. Don't believe me? Go see for yourself.
