Tell the Ambulance to turn around! Do not go here!! My mother has been in this filthy "hospital" 3 times this year. The weekend nurses are lazy, hateful and lie on medical charts. If this hospital were a restaurant it would be shut down due to the filth. My mother was there this time for 7 days, her sheets were never changed and she was never given a bath. The medical equipment was covered with dust and grime as well as the room. Just a nightmare! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to any WellStar hospital!
So last night I went there because I was throwing up all day got sent home from work because I was too sick. I went to wellstar hospital in Douglasville and they had me wait literally 3 hours and 13 minuets before I left and I was in a lot of pain my whole body hurts. Trust me these ppl there will wait until your near death before they take care of you. I will never go back there I promise you.
This hospital doesn't deserve NO stars. Went to the emergency room on several occasions. I never been diagnosed with anxiety until I visited here. Well come to find out I have been having very bad acid reflux and that was something my primary physician told me. Apparently my physician is connected to wellstar and the last time I visited Wellstar they failed to look at my doctor notes. They kept referring back to when I first visit the hospital. We'll I received a bill in the mail. Called the billing department and explained the hospital didn't give me anything and sent me home. Follow up with my doctor he stated I had acid reflux. Something the hospital could not tell me. Now why am I being billed from the hospital. This hospital is for junkies, that runs out of meds and need a quick fix. This hospital is not for normal people with colds/have acid reflux. Poor evaluation of the staff. I will be hiring me an attorney.
Do not come here. GO TO GRADY MEMORIAL OR SOUTH FULTON
Use to love this hospital now I do not care for it at all. The doctors dont care about your health issues at all. Went to the hospital 2x in one week for a pinched nerve in my neck and had the care provider tell me she cant continue to wirte me pain medicine everytime i come in. And said it as loud as she could. And i had to stop her and said im not a fuxking junkie i come here because its and ER and i have no othet options. Its not your job to treat people with chronic pain or illinesses differently. Its your job to see what you can do to make that patient comfortable. I told her i didnt come for pain medicine she could give me a steriod. If im coming back to the ER its because what you did the 1st time didn't work. These people are very unprofessional. Im a med student myself and would never judge a patient by how many times they come into the ER. Its my job to see what I can do to help them get better and not judge them. You can easily view someones chart and see their health conditions. I will never go back to this Hospital because the way they treat people. And the nurses are no better!
worst hospital I have ever been inSome of the staff are rude, overworked? or they just don't need this job attitude.Went to the emergency room with my Aunt..woman came in with a LARGE cut on her handthey did not take her into the emergency doctorsthey let her wait in the waiting room, blood all over the placethen a nurse or an aide comes out and dresses her hand..IN THE WAITING ROOM!!!..nasty and unsanitary. I went there for mammogram the tech tells me I have masses in my breast that look like cancer..WTH!!!! Then after complainingthey send me a letter saying that I may or may not have breast cancer..WTH kind of letter is that?!?!
The ER. Kelly and Skye were great nurses. That's why I'm giving two stars. Stomach empty as ever. I got my vitals taken when I arrived and they were not taken again before I left. My lab test results were not uploaded to my chart and when I called for medical records, I received a voice-mail. With all said, they kept trying to give me meds for my nausea and i refused as I hadn't eaten anything. I would very well like to get my results so I can follow up with a PCP.
Update: They finally uploaded my results and referred me over to a follow - up PCP. What they "diagnosed" me with was very incorrect, but I guess upon discharge they have to have something to show the insurance company or bill you for. Still 2 stars for the experience and lack there - of.
My sister was on life support and the doctors, nurses, and staff were so supportive. They genuinely care for their patientsI don't ever want to experience having to go through that experience again, but I thank God for professionals atWallstar Douglasville
10/13/17: This hospital is subpar. The service is mediocre. Below mediocre. I’m fairly new to the area and my newborn daughter was in need of medical attention. Why did we end up sitting in the ER waiting area 2 HOURS. Didn’t even give us a wrist band. The ENTIRE waiting room cleared out before my daughter was seen. Then they stick us in a small waiting area (NOT a room-see pictures) and that is where my daughter was seen. I am BEYOND DISGUSTED with this hospital. I don’t even wanna tell y’all about the exam. I was really over it by then. I even walked out after that. I didn’t wait for any results I IMMEDIATELY took my child to Scottish Rite. Relocating from Marietta where Northside and Children’s Hospital (Scottish Rite) was convienent and the level of service they give surpass any Wellstar hospital I’ve ever visited. This is why I stopped going to Kennestone and this is why I will take my chances driving to Sandy Springs from Douglasville before I ever subject myself or my kids to this place again. They need to just throw the entire hospital away and try again.
UPDATE(10/15/17): Thank god for my mothers intuition ! It was pneumonia meanwhile Wellstar Douglas was saying “it’s just a cold” after the X-rays ! Just imagine had I stayed and listened to Wellstar “it’s just a cold”my infant daughter wouldn’t be here today. Pneumonia kill people ! My daughter is in GREAT care at Scottish Rite Hospital !!
I am a disabled veteran I suffer with ptsd and anxiety. Last night I felt like I was dying. My blood pressure when I got to the er was 197/77 I had extreme chest pain and I couldnt breathe I was borderline passing out for hours. Nurses didn't care I sat there begging for help for 3 hours with chest pain. I felt like I was going to die. There is 0 and I mean ZERO compassion from anyone at the hospital except maybe the x ray tech. I was so scared and shaking I expected someone to at least give me something to ease the symptoms of the panic attack but they didnt. Took them 3 hours for that. They made it worse by not caring. Choose somewhere else to go this place is terrible.
Rude triage staff that told me I was not urgent or emergent and probably would not been seen by a surgeon. I waited for 2 hours and when I got back to a room there was only 2 other families there with every other room empty. I was seeking treatment for my abdominal pain but was only being pushed pain medicine and was told I needed to contact the surgeon directly to schedule a outpatient appointment, but they are expecting my call. What has happened to our healthcare system. Not only do I pay a extremely high premium for employee based insurance, but I also have to manage my own care at a hospital. This was the worst patient experience I have ever had and by working in this industry for over 17 years I am ashamed.
I had two surgery 2005 everyone was great, when to ER twice few months ago and only gripe I have was the wait but they did keep me informed and how long it would be. But the care and doctors was exceptional .
Very responsive to our needs. Nurse Kelly was very compassionate and attentive to my sister. We need more caregivers like her!
In 330 with head and neck pain. Still here 4hrs later and haven't seen a doctor. Just in hallway by myself for the longest time crying now and then when pain shoots to my head. One guy just checked on me. Nice guy. Nurses don't seem to care so,many just pass you up and no one gives you the status
I have been to this location 2 times in the past 2 years. I can't say anything bad about the ER. I have always had a decent ER doctor, great ER nurses. That however, is the extent of my knowledge about this hospital. I hope if I am to have my surgery here the OR staff will be of equal to that of ER staff.
