Live this hike! One of my favorites
Gorgeous hike! More difficult height but well worth it
My favorite hiking spot!! It's not particularly easy, and there's a lot of scrambling and going up steep parts, but the view is entirely worth it! The two peaks are gorgeous and very great picnic spots. Once you get past the first leg (the easy part), most people drop out and head back, so it's not crowded for the rest of the hike. It took us about 3 hours to do both peaks and come back.
This is a beautiful mountain. I'm pretty used to climbing mountains and exercise regularly (both strength training and cardio) but I must say it can be a strenuous climb if you're with a faster group. Some of the dogs are looked like they weren't doing so well once the mountain turns to mostly granite slabs. There are some 45 degree scrambles up rock face. I would recommend this one to those who hike regularly and are in decent shape. But if you don't exercise regularly, it will be unpleasant. The scenery is lovely and the plant life at the top is really interesting. The rocks have neat erosion pits in them as well, reminds me of the moon. The wooded area at the base of the mountain is beautiful, too.
Awesome hike in good condition, would be slippery and difficult when raining on the hike down. Awesome views and not difficult, especially if you hike often. The parking lot does say it requires a recreation pass so keep that in mind if you plan on visiting.
Beautiful hike Today (April 8th)
First time up for my friend and I, Moderate hike but may be tough in places if you don't hike very often. We thought this was a great bang for your buck hike, Lots of views and many viewpoints. Definitely a good hike for only a 4.4 mile loop. Slipped a few times with the slush and snow but definitely alot less snow than the trails in Crawford Notch right now though!
Went hiking in the snow and it was a beautiful walk. Just watch out for the small streams that may be hidden by the ice.
Great 5 mile loop with two peaks. This is an intermediate trail. Nothing really complicated but not a stroll in the park either. Great views from above the tree line in a few spots.
Great 4hr hike with my dog. A few difficult spots, but he managed! One of the few places I've seen that is up front about being ok with off leash dogs.
Its an amazing 4 hour hike trail. we went in 20 Jan and there was a lot of snow and a little ice , temp was around freezing (above) we didn't have any problem though.
