I'm 38 and was transported there via ambulance cuz I had some kind of virus and had a high fever and could not keep down fluids for a few days. I felt very faint and weak. When I got to Wayne memorial I had a high heart rate due to the fact I was feeling like death and prone to anxiety attacks which i take medication for. The doc on call had terrible bed side manner and made me feel like a psycho rather than a sick person. He told me I needed to stop crying and freaking out over a simple virus and what I needed more than IV fluids was a shot of sedatives for overreacting. "Stop crying and get over it" was what I was told when a little compassion instead would of probably worked over any medicine. I felt the need to leave against medical advice cuz this doctor was so rude.

ER only! They know what to do and thank god! I would not make this my affiliate hospital and would search for doctors who are not singularly working through this hospital.

First time I ever went there but staff was incredible and efficient,,they took me in quickly,all tests were taken,4 hours later,I was on my way home.
Very impressed with how they also called to check on me the next day.

The emergency room staff took great care of my 91yr old father treating him for uti when we were on vacation up there.
Very nice caring folks there.
Can't say enough good things about the emergency room staff.

I have been there on several occasions. My experience has varied greatly. Overall I would say no bad . Of course there are areas of improving needed. There are some knowledgeable staff and others that lack.

We unfortunately had a an opportunity recently to visit the hospital for what we believe to be a stroke. The staff at the hospital was excellent they had more resources in that emergency room doing their jobs then I possibly could have imagined. We could not have gotten better service.

Waited 5 hours for stitches when the ER was empty. The Nurse acted like I asked her for a kidney when I asked for some sponges to staunch the bleeding. I worked in a Hospital ER in NYC I know the issues ER nurses go thru. No excuse here. Catskill medical center next time if need be or an Urgent care place.

Unfortunately I have been to the hospital too often this past year and a few times in the years before. The care I have received in the ER, Wound Care Center and Radiology Dept has always been great and the people treating me are always kind, thoughtful, and expert in their work. God bless you all.
