Staff was well knowledge on the history. Would have liked to spend more time. I will return for another visit. Great prices on gift shop items too.

Went to the haunted house and it was great. Parking and tickets are cash only but they let us by tickets in the gift shop. Go early to avoid the long line though its definitely worth the wait.

I did the 6 hour paranormal tour. The guides were knowledgeable of the history of Waverly and the tour was ok. It was very cool to get to walk around the enormous building and explore. The public tour had too many people and too many flashlights shining in your face. The guides tell you to use your flashlights sparingly so your eyes will adjust to the darkness. As usual people don't listen!
**If you want to do a paranormal tour find enough people and do a private tour.

I love the haunted house here they really do go all out to try to scare you. And the tour is really good but short roughly 30 mins but still fun. Wish it was cheaper $60 for both plus VIP. If you haven’t been I would definitely recommend. And I captured a picture of a creepy fast on the bottom left window! This place is legit haunted.

If you are thinking about going to a haunted house in Louisville this is the ONE!!! Literally just left and if it wasn't closed I would go again. The wait wasn't horrible seeing how the staff and crowd were both amazing. When we finally got in it was entertaining the entire way through. I only paid $20 (which is less than some of the other haunts I've been too) and it was one of the longest funniest places ever. Each room felt completely different from a pitch black hallway to walking on the ceiling (yes you read that correctly, they made me feel like the room was spiralling), to an all star cast, everyone gave their all, I swear one woman had lungs of steel because she screamed at everyone nonstop, oh and i can check getting touched by a chainsaw off my list of things I've done. For a scare this is the place to be.

I had an amazing experience at the haunted house. The line was very long, I am talking 3 hour wait but staff came out with their costumes and scared people in line. The food was affordable and the photo booth was cool. It was one of the scariest ones I have been to, speaking of my friends ran off while I took a picture of the entrance. One thing that could have been better was the lines though. We got there at 8:00pm and the car line was an hour, plus the wait to get in was about 2 and a half hours. But it was all worth it.😉

I am on a paranormal investigation team that's affiliated with TAPS, and we went for our TAPS Family reunion this year. For the most part I am a skeptic but I can tell you without a doubt we experienced some things at Waverly that I truly can't explain. It's one of the few places I've ever been that really freaked me out. I don't think there's anything malevolent there; just a lot of heartbreak and misery that goes along with any place that's seen that much sickness and death. But at night, it's extremely creepy.

We went on a six hour overnight investigation. Loved every minute of it ! Such a large place to explore. The Body Chute was creepy. Captured what we think may be spirits in some pictures. We heard children laughing. I can't wait to go back !

Had a wonderful time! Was on my "bucket list", went with an open mind and was not disappointed. Lots of history here! We did the 930 pm paranormal tour. Expected to be scared or have a super weird encounter but oddly enough was very comfortable on the tour, even with a lot of it being in the dark, and privileged to have encountered the Shadow People on 4th floor. Definitely an experience I won't forget! Now I can't wait to take a look at my pics to see if there's something in them that i did not clearly see!

Been there several times for the haunted house and once for an extended tour. Well worth the trip for those seeking historical oddities and of course the ultimate paranormal experience. Can't wait to go again!!!

It was truly an exciting and educational experience. One of the most haunted places in the country and the world and I can honesty say that I've experienced paranormal activities there. It's not my first encounter with the paranormal either.

I cannot help but feel really sorry for the 60-70 TB patients, the nurse that took her life, and all the rest of the possible residing spirits. Waverly Hills Sanatorium is definitely the feather in the cap for EVERY paranormal team out there, and now enlightened that it is worse than expected -- The location is now nothing but a money making ghost tour carnival act. Those poor ghosts were unknowingly condemned to an eternity of HELL on Earth. Thank goodness I'm going to Heaven; otherwise, if you come to where I may be calling my ",after life residence", and you came around with your electronic devices..More than likely I would become one of the angry spirits, telling you all to EFF OFF! GET OUT! ..And, maybe even give you a nice, scary pinch on your ass!
