I have been living in this Apartment complex since 2013.It was a great place to live but recently it became horrible..
Constant change in management and I am getting sick and tired of all sort of work they are doing inside the apartment while I am already living here.
I work from my home and I need a very quiet environment.Every month the management is sending people to work inside my apartment, they knock at he doors, shout and yell outside while working and makes it a hell.
Recently the management send technicians to install google fibre inside my apartment.I was not interested but they said it is new feature and they have to install in every apartment no matter whether you want it or not..
They send the technician in the middle of the day,I had to log out from my work. They had to drill the wall inside my closet and the living room, lot of drilling and mess.
My question is Walton can add a new feature or whatever they want to do but they can't force me to install something inside my apartment against my wish. They could do it after I leave the apartment,no wonder tomorrow they might come and tell me that they will break the window of the apartment and I have to allow this.
Few months ago they painted the doors and windows of my apartment and the same thing happened, they came inside the apartment in the middle of the day. Those painters were singing, shouthing, yelling and kind a like celebrating the stupid work of painting among themselves while I had to log out from my work and losing money. Those painters made my carpet dirty,I requested for a carpet cleaning and had to pay for that out of my pocket because Walton said it is not free even though it was made by the painters not by me.
Was a great place to live, but with the constant management changes, lack of property cleanliness, smoking in the breezeways, smokers putting their cigarettes out on the walls and leaving butts everywhere(including throwing them in the bushes) for them to lay for sometimes more than a week, owners of pets letting them do their business anywhere without cleaning up behind the animals, and the overall attitude of the office projecting a not care attitude.it has gone downhill. also, the gate breaks every week. either the entrance or exit. I remember when this was more of a community rather than apartments. Those days are long gone.
The manager it's so rude, impolite and racist. I tried to leave a package in the leasing office since a client requested it and the manager told me: I don't care. You do not get paid for leaving it here! For real? First time in many years of work that this happens to me.
My name is Yvonne Hargrove and I've been living at Walton Grove Apartments for ten plus years. I started out in a two bedroom apt and recently moved to a three bedroom apt and I've had the best service from the new manager Kate, Jasmine, and the maintenance manager Joe. Every single time I've had any issues, Kate has been on top of it! She has been the best manager I've ever worked with in the ten years I've been here. Joe has been so helpful with this transition into my new place and he has truly helped me with any and every issue I've had thus far. Kate's assistant Jasmine, has been nothing but a blessing as well to me! They had a floater by the name of Kayla who was just as awesome! I would recommend Walton Grove to ANYONE !! They have excellent customer service.
I am living here with my boyfriend, every few months you will see new management team.Sometime they are extremely rude.
Lately they are renovating apartments and the complex, today the driveway, tomorrow the doors are painted.Very much annoying.
I came back home to find out that my main door was left open by the painter who was painting the door. They open the main door when we were away and left it open for the paint to dry,I asked the lady who was in charge of painting about keeping the main door open, there was no apoogy or anything. Moreover, she was arguing that she was right to leave the door open because she had the order from the management.
I called the office but as usually the manager was away and no one picked up my phone.
We will definitely take this matter to Walton Management to see what is their response.
Before you sign up your lease think twice. You might come back home to see your main door is open, whatever explanation they give I am sure I won't renew my lease.
My fiancé lived here for three years. Rent was always paid on time and I would say we were pretty close with our neighbors and just productive citizens. Once we moved out we made sure to clean the apartment and took care of it while we're there. We weren't expecting to get our deposit back but we definitely weren't expecting a $400 charge for replacing the carpet. Against my better judgement I didn't take pictures of the carpet as I usually do when moving out of any place. We had just bought a new home and had a lot to do when it time to move out. That carpet was brand new when we got it. Any stains on were immediately cleanedthe carpet was not in a state to where it needed to be replaced. When trying to work with the leasing office as far as payment arrangement they said they didn't really want to deal with bothering themselves with working with us and would just send it t collections. After 3 years of paying this place our hard earned money and you don't want to be bothered with making payment arrangements . We wanted to paywe just needed help in making some type of payment arrangement. We just bought a home and everything we had went into buying that home. I enjoyed living here but I must say I was really taken aback that they really would not work with us after all these years. The carpet didn't need replacing and shame on me for not taking pictures for myself.
If you choose to stay here, plan not to get any of your deposit money back when you move out. I kept the apartment so clean, always took off my shoes when I went back, they still manage to deduct 110 for carpet damage! For what? I was not even informed about it on the day checking out. Oh and be careful, their counter is not heat proof, for 2 small burnt prints caused by pot, they charged me 250 to replace the countertop! This is ripping off. I won't recommend this place to any of my friend.
Really amazing property! Very, very clean and well kept. Leasing office (hi Jasmine!) team are all really amazing. Everyone is very helpful - always. It's a clean, safe, well maintained property with great residents and amazing employees. That includes maintenance who, when called, were there within a few hours. Can't say enough good about this hidden gem in Smyrna!
Walton Grove is one of the BEST apt complex to reside!!! I have only lived here for 3 months and the experience is beyond belief. First off the grounds are kept superb and maintenance staff move very swift. The apartment floor plans are huge, very quiet and peaceful. No loud music, no rowdy neighbors, no kids playing in the street. They just pressurized the entire community for a kept fresh look. Pest control on a monthly basis, inside and outside if requested. EXTREMELY Professional, Caring, Here to help in Any situation staff. Any issue that came about the staff resloved the issue immediately to insure I was accommodated. My only issue upon moving in was there was no fitness center. Then "Bam" we have a brand new fitness center with brand new workout equipment, weights, mats, core bags etc. Annnnd we are right across from the Braves Stadium. What more can you ask for?? Not much.lol

So many shops are near by and with public transport option, this is a very good place to stay. Can't forget to mention about the three friendly and very helpful leasing office staff:)
The leasing office personnel always great me with a smile. Montgomery and Aikens.
Great small community. Gates always work. Few children. Large apartments. Unexplainably high water bills that must be paid with rent so expect to pay an extra $100.
