Wallace as a whole is a great school but the nursing program I feel like is not about helping students be successful. There is a shortage of nurses everywhere and I feel like some of the nursing instructors out there quite frankly just want to see some students fail and leave. When I attended my last semester in fall of 2014, I felt like no matter how much I asked questions or needed help, I got little to no responses and I eventually ended up failing my last class of the program by a point and a half, which I would have given ANYTHING or done ANYTHING to pass the class at that point. Some of the instructors showed no empathy. I assumed to be a nurse and be in that profession that you had to have compassion and want to help people, but that was not the feeling I and many others had when I attended. In fact, I had heard that several years ago there was a lawsuit for something very similar to my situation. I just hope that maybe things can be a little different within the nursing program. I do NOT recommend Wallace for the nursing program to other people looking to go into nursing.

I love Wallace!! The faculty are wonderful and really pushed me to do my best! I could always go to them outside of class for help, and even faculty who weren't my teachers helped me on occasion. I will always highly recommend this CC to anyone!!

I am a current employee who graduated from Wallace Community College. As a student it was the best move for me to make immediately following high school as I was not socially ready to attend a major university. At Wallace Community College I learned how to study for collegiate level classes and manage my time in such a way that differed from high school. All of the courses I took transferred seamlessly to Auburn University which saved me money.
Now as an employee I see all that goes on behind the scenes. I love my job and see all the time an effort faculty and staff put forth to make the learning environment and this college experience the best it can be.

The staff never answers phones. I've been calling for weeks and can't never get in touch!!! Now school starts Aug. 22 and I think I'm to late for sign ups! I called again today and called every option just to speak to SOMEBODY there but, once again no answer. I heard great things about Wallace and that's why I choose to go there but, they are probably the worst in communication skills!!!! my name is charity enfinger and I would really like to be in the nail tech program but, due to poor communication skills from ALL the staff I've missed my opportunity to get a better career for my two baby girls. One is 7 months and the other is 2. I wish I could get in if only they'd answer the phone!!! :(
