The food was fine and a good value. The heat was turned down so much so that I was cold even with a heavy sweater. The menu explicitly states to allow 30 minutes for your order on weekdays and 60 minutes on weekends, so be aware

Family met there for dinner after a funeral and we had good service and the chicken dinners we're very good. Only thing I didn't eat was the coleslaw, seems like had no taste. Would still recommend eating dinner there and will go back again.

Went with a large party. They told us we could only pick from 3 menu items. Then they served with sides we never got to pick. Had to ask for water 4 times before finally getting it. Ordered food and when it never came the server insisted she had never waited on that customer. She in fact did. Nobody got refills. The chicken was hard. The ham was dry. The hot sauce was cold. When a few of the party needed a take home bag they had to search for staff to ask for one. My grandma had to walk the restaurant for a high chair for the baby. They never asked if we needed one nor were they anywhere to be found to ask for one. When for the 5 minutes the host stood to speak, they were sure to use that moment to come around. One waitress even yelled over the speaker. Very rude. Not pleasant in any way. Service was horrible. Food was worse.

This place used to be better. There was almost no one there when we went this previous time, yet it took forever to be served and to get our food. My fish was extremely overcooked and hard. I didn't get the hot sauce I asked for. My fiance thought the chicken had no flavor. I tried his hot sauce and it was so much more bland than I remember it being. It used to be my favorite; he didn't even like it trying it for the first time. It's too expensive to risk worth going again to not eat anything you get.

My family has been eating here for well over 30 years and, after today, will not be back!!!! We sat down and, as we were waiting to order, we saw a RAT scamper across the floor. We immediately told our waitress who went to look for it & by her scream, I am pretty sure that she found it. 15 minutes after our food was served, the owner came over, NEVER apologized for the RAT, but pleading his case that they have never had a rodent issue. My husband showed him his chicken..that was bloody raw.again, no apologies. My husband obviously didn't want anything elsehe was done. My chicken.bloody raw and the owner "graciously" adjusted just 1 piece of chicken from our bill (REALLY?!?!), my sister in law ordered grilled chicken that had no flavor at all. When my brother went up to pay for my sister in law and himself, he told the owner how dissatisfied they were with her dinner. THE OWNER REPLIED "come on, really? If you would have complained because of the rat, I can see that but her dinner was fine." My husband goes up to pay our bill and THE OWNER kept telling him how the pressure cookers that fries the chicken is on a timer and that we would not have gotten sick by eating OUR RAW chicken!!!!!! He tried to give us gift certificates to come back..NO THANK YOU!!!!!!! We will be calling the health department first thing Monday morning!!! So sad.this used to be an amazing place to go!!! The new owner has no business being in the food industry!!!! Just a side noteI gave one star because I was required to select something.in realitythis restaurant is worthy of negative a million stars!!!!! Diners beware!!!

This is the first time I've been there in 4 years& the anticipation of their hot rice was genuinely strong. What a HUGE disappointment. I paid $15 for 2 qts & I was soooo sad. ☹️ They closed and reopened & possibly that is the problem.

Got the grilled chicken. Very good and juicy. Love the Cole slaw. The hot sauce wasn't hot enough but still good. Fries were good. Prices aren't bad.

Great food!!!! Great service!!!! I'm in town once or twice a month and it is a must stop! Very friendly owner and workers. Food is better under the new owner and the fries and hot sauce are amazing!!!!

Best chicken ever!! Love the hot sauce and it is the only Cole slaw I will eat. I have been going here for 42 years. My grandparents had their first date there and my parents went there on their first dinner date.

Great food and excellent catering for Barberton or Norton events. My grandpa used to say that people came from miles and miles away to eat the chicken here. When he passed away last week, we decided to honor him by hosting a large lunch banquet here after the funeral. The manager, Scott, was a pleasure to work with, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend them as a caterer for any events in the Norton or Barberton area.

Had gone several times under the previous owners. This time several of us went for Saturday lunch at 11:30. Not many there yet so service was fast. Everything was good but the chicken has a slightly different taste now. Maybe one extra ingredient. They do serve beer now.
