Stopped in for one of their giant blueberry pancakes. It was an IU Football game day so noise level was insane & I wasn't feeling well. Asked the waitress if we could get our food boxed up to go and she was terrific about it! Food at VD is pretty good, service for a game day was outstanding!
The service is very slow and the food is so-so. But the hot chocolate is great 😀
My favorite brunch spot. Its usually pretty busy but my wait has never been more than 5 minutes. Fast service, great food, good price.
Talk about "Brunch Central"--- this place is overflowing on weekends and in the mornings. The food itself bearly gets a 3, but everyone loved it and the atmosphere is nice. The service can be rather slow on the weekend, but their bennies are tasty.
Food was good, but not worth the hour we had to wait for it
Great place for brunch. Good food and decent selection. Big portions!
Very racist-like behavior. I, my wife and sister waited 30 minutes in line for our turn on the list. They seated 6 other people who were after me in the list. I will not recommend the restaurant to any non-White person. If yo are White, the pancakes are good.
To-Die-For breakfasts! Excellent food. Dine outside for the college atmosphere. Just great, and people also!
Village Deli use to be much better. The quality of service has gone downhill some. The food is still good though.
This place is simply the best. The giant pancakes both regular and gluten free are amazing. And, always get an order of the Paxton potatoes. The only negative is the coffee is just so so.
Put our name in and we were told about a 20 min wait, we still hadn't been called so we went elsewhere. Staff seemed pretty unorganized and chaotic. Plus there were only a couple seats for people to sit while they waited, and there were lots of people waiting.
American classic breakfast food and lunch. The pancakes are delicious and bigvery big. If you go on a weekend there will be a wait. This place is a town favorite.
One of my favorite diners. Good pancakes. Great spot for people watching.
I really like this place. Great diner breakfast fair that is creative without being pretentious. If you go on a weekend or IU event week though, be prepared for lines literally out of the door and a very loud and hectic atmosphere. I prefer to go on weekdays to avoid the crowds. I recommend Paxton's Potatoes (home fries with sausage gravy, cheddar cheese and scallions on top) and the Cinnamon Roll pancake. Pancakes are huge and they are always doing interesting daily and seasonal specials.
