Quaint hacienda type hotel on 2 levels close to the seafront. Free wine and cheese served every afternoon. Large well equipped bedrooms and very pleasant staff.

Tia's Cockroach Inn Room #9
--Cockroach INVESTED rooms, when I addressed the issue with the Tia, she never apologized or offered any type of compensation or discount AND asked me if I brought the cockroaches into the place in a box to get a free trip! That's what you call customer service and hospality?!?
--Place REEKS of mold and needs to be remodeled and treated for water damage. It's apparent there is mold in the bedroom where the strong smell starts. When addressed with Tia, she said I did not smell a thing and have no idea what your are talking about
--Dead Bugs in the light sconces
--Crumbs and food in broken loose kitchen tile on the entry
--Place needs to be painted and updated old old place that shows in every inch!
--The house smells like sewer, even with the windows open all morning while gone to the beach. The pipes gurgled all night when the upstairs guest used their sinks.
--My sister, mother, and myself were all greatly disappointed with the condition of the place, cockroaches, and the expensive price for the moldy old outdated room that was $280 a night.response / report this review -

Huge disappointment. Endless deferred maintenance. Room had an odd smell. Staff, like the facility itself, seemed tired and over-worked. We paid $560 for a two night weekend stay. Website photos show beautifully appointed rooms -- nothing like the venue's reality. Promised daily copies of the Los Angeles Times delivered to your room and nightly turndowns with chocolate. Didn't happen. Four of the rooms on our floor had condemned signs on their doors warning of unstable balconies. Somebody just wants to nurse this place as long as they can for financial gain without putting anything into it.

Location is walking distance from the beach, which is what I call a PRIME location. The rooms were decorated nicely, & bedding was super comfy. The bathroom could use some upgrades due to being an older style, but other than that, nothing to complain about! The service was extremely helpful & accommodating. Exceeded my expectations for sure.

Beautiful and pleasant.
Booked last minute on Santa Barbara's busiest summer weekend, and could not have asked for a better location. We could see and hear the beach from the comfort of our room. Pier and festival crafts were a short stroll from the Inn.
Reasons for not a 5 star review:
Got locked out despite having keys because of old/tricky door lock; however, response service was prompt and professional. No AC made for a slightly warm room. Fans were used instead to keep the air circulating, a tad loud for light sleepers.
Overall a good experience with warm staff personnel.response / report this review
