very good selection, very good at getting you want you need.
Every time we go in they help my family and I make great selections and be on our way fast year after year. We highly enjoy coming here due to the super customer service and availability of items. We have growing kids and they keep us geared up. We highly recommend this place for purchases.
Went to check out this store before the season to pick up some gear. They didn't' have what I was looking for then the dude tried to tell me I wanted this other board. I wasn't about it so I left, felt like a pushy sales people.
Only reason they get 1 star is because I can not give a negative star. I dropped off our boards a week ago and we're supposed to be tuned up the following day. Went to pick up not done. Followed up several days later not done owner said would give a discount on store items. I sent my wife to pick up our boards which she did they told her that they had tuned up both boards instead to the best of there capabilities I get home to inspect neither board has been touched. So I return to ask why and what they could do. I was told both boards had been fully tuned that it would be a full ptex base treatment which is ridiculous I've been boarding for 15 years and when I have taken my board to be waxed in Colorado I've always received a super smooth base with no scratches and gouges!!! So disappointed!!!
I have been snowboarding for 22 years so naturally my son wanted to give it a shot. This year he was finally ready, so I decided to take him to Mad River for his first time. I didn't want to buy him his own equipment since kids grow out of stuff so fast so I decided to rent his. I was planning to pay the $35 rental fee at Mad River, but decided to stop into Vertical Drop just to see what their rental equipment looked like. Once I walked in and was greeted by the awesome staff that was complimented by a very nice selection of rental equipment I was sold. Their rentals saved me $20 and the staff worked with my son to ensure he had the best fitting boots and board. I have nothing against Mad River's rentals as I'm sure they're great, but I'll stick with Vertical Drop to save $20 each time I take my son until he gets his own equipmment. Adult rentals will also save you $15 a visit! They also do not charge a deposit or anything like that. I did opt for the $4 rental insurance so for my son's board and boots, it was $19 out the door! Can't beat that!
Poor Selection for being right next to the slopes.
