Recently purchased a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Limited here. Very comfortable experience. No nonsense sales department. They deal straight and know what they are doing. Received welcome offer on my trade-in resulting in a deal I could not refuse. Excellent service department too. Very flexible, friendly, and helpful. I've purchased three vehicles from Vanflik over the last two decades. Customer for life!
Had to replace the transmission as a result of a previous collision and oversight by a different shop. The service manager was extremely helpful and understanding. He did a great job working with our insurance company. This was a very intense couple of weeks dealing with extenuating circumstances and difficult personalities. Joseph was great with all parties involved.
Brought our 2014 Ram 1500 in for a safety recall. I spoke with Joseph on Tuesday. I opted for a 50,000 mile inspection to replace spark plugs and fuel filter in addition to the recall. Then I asked that they specifically check brake pads and rotors because my normal garage had mentioned they should be due for replacement soon.
Picked up the truck and Joseph told me that the recall went well, 50,000 mile plug replacement and fuel filter went well. Then he told me that he brakes looked good as well.
Get the truck home and two days later pad on left rear starts eating the rotor. Brought the truck back in and asked "what the heck?" He said he didn't personally look at them and his tech told him they looked fine.
Asked them to eat the cost in labor for the oversight on perhaps the most important part of the vehicle. They came down a little on price but my garage could do it for the same price and I actually trust them with my truck. Decided to get them done at the Penzoil on Alpine.
I was really hoping that I would have a good experience as it has been years since I've been to a dealership for work, but it appears that the perpetual stereotype of shoddy workmanship and mistrust at dealerships continue. Now I have doubts as to the quality of my safety recall and plug replacement. Bummer.
Do not buy from here! I was informed by one of their "solution specialists" that buying a car from them is nothing but a gamble. We spent $12,000 on an Equinox from there and in less than a year have put almost $3000 into the car. Including having to put a new engine into it, after the engine blew only 8 months in. I was told I would be making an investment. That this would be a quality car for my family and spending less would just guarantee my family would be stranded on the side of the road. Funny, that's exactly what their vehicle did. When I contacted the dealership about the numerous repairs needed on the car and asking for just a bit of help, we were told sorry about your luck and that's the gamble you take. John Flikkema does not care if you drive junk, because he sells it.
We recently Leased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee with the help of Christian and I can say this was by far the BEST auto buying experience I have ever been a part of. From start to finish the who process went smoothly and Christian bent over backwards to find us what we wanted and get the deal to the right numbers. I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with this purchase. we will be back in the future for sure. A+++
My wife and I had a great experience while purchasing our vehicles at Van Andel & Flikkema. We worked with Kyle Schuiteman, who was terrific. He worked with us to find what we were looking for, not an easy task with me, and patiently rolled with my many changes. The staff stayed after hours working to find the right fit for us. Once we made our decisions, they moved quickly to get us into our new vehicles. Kyle also gave us a tutorial on the tech in the vehicles, which helped save a lot of the fumbling around that was sure to follow.
Needed to have my Chrysler 200 serviced for a recall notice received. Having purchased this car from a non Chrysler dealership I wasn't sure where to take it. I chose Van Andel & Flikkema. I am very pleased with the service I received. They were very prompt, efficient and took a lot less time than they said it would. Joseph was very kind, pleasant and courteous. Thank you!!
The engine light on our Town & Country came on. Joseph answered my call and asked me to come in for a quick test (looking for codes) to see how much time would be needed to work on it. Was determined it would take a day to resolve the issue. Kept it there that day and the next, when I picked it up and he said the codes never registered when they were going to work on it. I picked up the car and drove it home, but the engine light came back on the next day. I spoke to Joseph and he got our car in right away and the original codes registered again. Car was back in for a day and a half for service once we determined what had to be fixed. Thank you Joseph.
All buyers should do at least a little bit of homework before signing on the dotted line in a vehicle transaction, as each party is primarily looking out for themselves. That said, reasonable people can find reasonable ways to come to an agreement that makes everyone happy. That describes my experience with Trevor and Duane: reasonable. Trevor was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient working through the steps of my CPO Jeep Grand Cherokee purchase, and Duane was likewise efficient and able to offer pragmatic solutions to challenges emerging at his end of the process. Both were pleasant and responsive, and the entire experience free of drama. Do your research, then go to VF cars.
We have purchased new and used cars many times from Van Andel-Flikkema and have found the sales department to be amazing. They help you every step of the way without being high pressure or annoying. Over the years we have had five Town and Country minivans and two Jeeps. Our children have also purchased used cars at VF. It's always been an excellent experience! We definitely recommend Van Andel-Flikkema Chrysler Jeep!
Smoothest car buying experience I have ever had. Don Hauck was helpful, knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with. Seamless experience. I highly recommend you go see Don and VF if you are in the market for a Jeep!
Wanting to downsize and save a little money on gas, I just traded in my Wrangler Unlimited for a new 2016 Renegade Limited they still had on lot from last year. Christian Flikkema worked very hard to meet my needs and make a deal work. The whole process was extremely friendly and Dwayne the guy finance guy was able to find a lower rate than my per-approval I walked in with from USAA which was a pleasant surprise.
Christian was (and has been) responsive to my questions in a timely manner--even in the week after I purchased. My only complaint-keeping them from a 5th star- was that I feel I was maybe low balled a little on the value of my trade-apparently my Wrangler was originally from Canada so there was some tap dancing about their ability to sell a used car warranty. I think this was a little silly.
All in all, I would defiantly recommend VF to anyone and will likely use them in the future. I am glad I used VF and cannot thank the whole team enough for working hard to meet my needs. Ask for Christian--he is a good dude.
I've bought my last 5 cars (4 Jeeps and a 300S) here and it's been a great experience each time. Chris is wonderful to work with and has always given me great deals and even a deal I couldn't pass up. Chris takes the time to help you get familiar and comfortable with the car before you drive it awayno question or concern is too small.
Best car buying experience ever! Very efficient and short process to select my jeep and sign the papers. Hard to believe how little effort it took of my part. Chris did all the hard work and made it so easy for me. He also followed up to make sure I was happy with my new SUV. I definitively recommend this dealership for buying or servicing cars. Thanks Chris!
