The produce department needs improvements. Very little variety of fruit or veggies. The best part of VGs is the bakery! Excellent bun, rolls, bagels, pies, cakes and donuts too!

Until today, I would rate VG's with a 4 to 5 stars for every shopping trip that we've ever had.
Between 3:30 and 4:00 pm today, my son and I entered VG'S. After a short shopping trip, we went to the self checkout. While in the self checkout, my son went to bag the groceries. An employee of VG'S walked over to where they watch the checkouts. This employee is a white female, late 40's, dark hair, glasses, wearing a red t-shirt. Everytime a customer had a question, she would assist the customer, then bad mouth the customer behind their backs right in front of my son. The lady then started making fun of a man who had trouble at the the bottle return, referring to the man as a "retard" behind his back. Then the lady looks and observed a man that she assumed was an American veteran and she stated "oh, he's a veteran, he should have been killed overseas".
I served my country with honor during the first Persian Gulf War . I also serve as a police officer (22 years). I will not shop or give my business to a company/business who disrespects American Veterans.response / report this review -

I love shopping here, the "Yes" program is amazing we earn $10 gift cards almost every week with the baby club. We also favor Spartan brand over most big name brands and the people that work there are friendly and extremely helpful.

Bought hamburger meat. Was mixed with old ground beef in either the new ground beef. Was not just a day old. Several days old darkdark brow almost a black. Check the hamburger. Discusting. Especially for the prices they charge

This is where I do most of my grocery shopping. They have a good selection of grocery, produce, deli and gluten free products. They recently started carrying Freschetta GF Cheese Pizza. They have All But Gluten Bread and Buns -they are the best I've tried. They will try to get you any special requests and are always very pleasant and helpful.
