Spent my life savings here. Greedy, overpriced, smiling gladhands. Avoid this place unless you have unlimited funds and want to help them get rich. Terrible experience. I felt financially violated after leaving. $150 would have been high for my dogs bill but these lowlifes charged $500!!! I love my dog like a son and these people take full advantage of that fact.

My dog came in and had emergency surgery to remove his spleen. 2 days later I brought him back because something didn't seem right. Not only did the doc say something about not being my normal vet ( which they are for all 3 dogs), then she told me had been licking his wound and it was my fault. He hadn't, I took off work for a week! He was never out of my sight. He then had to have another emergency surgery which they charged me for. Turns out, he got an infection from his first surgery and it was so advanced it was obvious it happened from the inside out on the operating table. They never prescribed antibiotics. They sent me home with meds but none were antibiotics!!! I have a ton of texts from us to the vet plus phone calls. We did nothing wrong, they screwed up. To the point they had the director of the hospital come in for his 2nd surgery at 10pm on a Tuesday night to cover their ass. Gross negligence to cut open a 120lb dog, remove 5 liters of blood from his abdomen and remove his spleen and not send him home with antibiotics!!!! Don't go here, we thought they were the best near us, they're super expensive, but they aren't good at what they do. Not to mention the poor bedside manner of a few of the docs and the goth vet tech that was horribly insensitive! DONT TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES HERE! Expensive IS NOT BETTER!!!!

Up until last night we had no clue there was a 24hr vet hospital so close to us. 5 stars and nothing less because in Rieslings time of need and our time of fear , the people of VCA met us with nothing short of kindness, patience, and true care.
Last night we brought our 8 year old chocolate lab named Riesling. Reese has been heathy and active all her life then 10 days ago stopped being able to move so well. Uniontown Vet did full panel of tests the day before yesterday that came back normal. Last night it appeared she was seizing and having a stroke so we found VCA on google and called. We brought her in immediately and the people were wonderful and the Dr was very informative and kind. It appeared that something had ruptured inside her. They put together pricing for us with exploratory surgery and they DID NOT push anything on us. It was very respectful and it was the right people my mom needed around to be at this intense moment. Not being able to put money out for the surgery and realizing Reese didn't have time left, we asked for her to be euthanized. The dr and staff gave us as much time as we wanted without pressure before, we also got to hold her lovingly while they put her to rest.
This place was amazing. We have another dog (my little 3 yr Severus) and we wanted to take Riesling home so he could understand what happened. They prepared her for us and placed her wrapped up in a little cardboard coffin. It was beautiful and such kindest is so big at that moment as we have watched many of our past pet family reach the end.response / report this review -

Met Dr. Larson and James over an emergency tonight, the same day our other puppy died. They were amazing medical professionals, actual caring human beings driven by helping animals and not the almighty dollar. We will never go anywhere else ever again. Thank you more than we can say

My kid's dogs got into a vicious fight this morning. They are usually always separated but today accidentally got out together. My daughter rescued 2 dogs and when she came home from the Army, they came with her. Unfortunately, they did not like our other 2 rescue dogs. (Please do not judge that we have 4 dogs that do not like each other. We have kept them separated for over a year with no issues.) Our regular vet is not open on Sunday. I called the VCA office and the girl answered and immediately asked if I could hold. I said "I guess" she then paused and said "is this an emergency?" and I told her our dogs got into a vicious fight and needs to be seen. She had sensed the urgency in my voice and she immediately said to bring him in. They were prompt, kind and not at all rude as the other reviews said. They examined Milo and sutured him up for $433. I had read that they overcharge and was a bit nervous but was more worried about the health of our dog. I thought this was a reasonable price to make sure my dog was examined, cleaned up, sutured and given antibiotics. I was very impressed by their professionalism and caring toward my kids and Milo. I am thankful they were open on a Sunday and gave great care. Milo is doing well and should recover soon.

My dog was really sick at 4 in the morning and I had nowhere to go so I came here, I wasn't expecting such amazing service! Everyone there is so kind and they go the extra mile to take care of your pet. I would absolutely recommend this place—good job!

I took our Standard Poodle in at 3:00 a.m. on a Sunday because she couldn't close her jaw and was coughing. Vet said she took an X-ray and saw nothing and also said the dog was just "panting," or maybe swallowed a bug and didn't like the taste (I smelled a rat at that point). Got charged $350 to tell me basically that nothing was wrong. I followed up with her regular vet on Monday morning and was told that she had a nerve issue in her face and couldn't close her jaw. She also had a bad chest x-ray and passed away five days later. What a waste of $350. I will NEVER go there again,

The secretary was Extremely rude. Called to inquire about shots and prices for my cat and she basically chewed me out for 10 minutes straight that my rescued kitty has only had one set of shots and acted like I am a horrible person for not bringing him in earlier and would not give me an exact price - just started rambling off numbers 50 for this, 60 for this 27 for that and on and on. When asked how much total would the first visit be, she said "I don't know, I didn't add it up for you!" Hmm, hopefully she likes pets more than humans. Then she asked where my last pet was, "where is she, what happened to her, what did you do with her????" Acted like I ate her for dinner or something. Calm down. Guess what? If you want more furry friends to visit you there, you have to be half way decent to their owners who drive them there and pay your minimum wage. You're welcome

I've made a few trips here this past month with my Pitbull because of his allergies. I can't thank the staff enough! He received A LOT of love and care during our visits. Also, he doesn't do well around new animals and they were great with making it a non stressful situation for him and other pets there. Altogether, amazing people, amazing place!

Brought my dog in at 3am. He was suffering, they took xrays and bloodwork. Turned out he needed an operation he wouldn't survive. We uthenized him, and I must say I never expected the amount of support the staff gave me. They also only charged me for the final medicine they gave him. Great folks.

After seeing one of my 1 year old cat crouch very low to the ground and meow almost constantly for the second day in a row, I decided to take her to the vet, fearing something was wrong.
This was a Sunday, so I had to find a 24 hr vet, and I took her to VCA Animal Hospital in Green. I waited in the waiting room alone (there was no one else waiting) which was very clean and quiet. I was called within a few minutes to enter the doctor's office. After being led into the doctor's office, my sick cat and I waited for an hour and fifteen minutes before we were seen by the doctor. Now this started to irritate me because I was paying nearly $110 for emergency service, but I had waited over an hour. After the vet told me she wanted to do a bunch of tests and x-rays after not seeing anything wrong with her visually, I became concernedbecause they wanted $451 for these tests to see if there's anything wrong with her. That a lot of money to play around with!
I agreed to one testthe urniary tract infection test because that's what I thought she had. They weren't able to get enough urine out of her to examine it with a microscope, but they had enough to put it on a dish to see if it would grow any bacteriawhich didn't make much sense to me but I went with it. They told me to wait 24 hours and then they'll call and let me know if there's any bacteria growing. I left the vet's office and waited for their call.
I waited, and no one called. I decided to call them myself and was told there wasn't bacteria growing and wanted to know if I wanted to go ahead and do the shot anyway. Why would I want to spend money on tests and shots if she doesn't have a UTI?
I became very frustrated, so I took her to my regular vet. They told me my 1 year old cat was in heat, she was ready to have kittens. Nothing wrong with her. Wow!
I was very relieved and felt compelled to write a survey. I feel as if I was cheated out of my money at VCA. I have no problem paying a diagnosis fee, but please be accurate with the resolution and charge me fairly for the services I received. Paying a flat $100+ "emergency" fee, waiting over an hour when no one else was in the room, and being asked to spend $400+ on tests that would've ultimately proved my cat had no problems made me very upset.response / report this review -

We took our dog here after he was hit by a car in the middle of the night. He had no obvious signs of damage but was a little disoriented so we took him to be sure. They gave him medication without telling us or asking us first if he was on other meds and then over-charged us for the meds. They needed to do tests on him as well but the estimated bill was about $2,800 so my dad had to decline as we have nowhere near that kind of money. The vet called him neglectful and shamed him for not wanting to "save" our dog. We decided to take our chances and keep him home for the night until our regular vet opened. When we took him to our regular vet, he got cleaned up, bandaged, medicated, and multiple tests done all for about $500 and sent home with an optimistic attitude. VCA is nothing but a scam that only cares about money and the people who work there are extremely rude. Unfortunately, they are the only 24 hour vet care in our area but nothing can justify an outrageously overpriced bill and rude service.

NEVER use this facility!!! Our cat was not doing well. We had him at our regular vet all day giving him tests, fluids, and antibiotics. All tests were positive with no fever. We decided to take him home, because he was doing better and thought he would rest better at home. The vet left the catheter in because we were to return the next day. During the night he became very sick so we took him in to VCA to have him put to sleep. Of course they had to examine him, run more test, blood work, x-rays, and a catheter placed right next to the one our vet put in! Stressing our cat more and running up the bill! They were very rude and at one point at us to make the decision to either put him to sleep or to spend $1,300 to $1,600 to treat him. They also gave him medication without our permission. When we realized the scam we just wanted to pay our bill take our cat and go. We ended up having our cat put to sleep when our vet opened up in the mourning. All they cared about was the money.
