After submitting my passport paperwork to a local post office (as the acceptance agent), everything went missing (go figure, it's the Postal Service). With travel plans fast approaching, I made an appointment with the L.A. Passport Agency, explained everything that happened at the Post Office (with the documentation), and got my Passport in time for my trip. Bottom line, the staff at this Agency were willing to listen to my dilemma, review the documentation I turned over, and do the right thing. Everyone I talked with was professional and understanding, while still presenting what options we had (within the rules of the Agency) in a respectful manner.

Our clients are artists, Entertainers, Athletes and have urgent matters for work. We are very lucky to have this office to issue same day passports and help with emergencies. Nigerians have to wait 8 weeks for a new passport.

It's best to go early during the week, like 8am, to avoid the lines. You can get a rush 'expedited' passport if you need it. Normally, the wait time for a US Passport is about 8 weeks, so if you have a medical type emergency and have proof of travel, such as s plane ticket, they may allow you to get your passport in days, not weeks. I found the staff very efficient and friendly.

All i can say is just WowKudos to all the employees here :)

The guards were friendly and showed us where to go.

The lady at counter A (copy) was super nice.

The Asian lady behind the counter (Clerk #000416) was very detail and patient to get my application fixed (i made some mistakes) and she was friendly too.

PS: Follow your appointment timedon't come here too early cos you won't be in until your app time. Follow all the instruction, prepare all the original documents and make a copy including copy of front + back part of your ID, passport size photo and you'll be in and out within 1 - 1.5 hour. If you drive there's a free parking by the building and enter from Veteran Avenue.

Picked up my passport today to be exact 5 days after i submitted. Everything went well less than 30 minutes in a line.

The customer service lady I spoke with, Ms. James, was great and extremely helpful over the phone alerting me of all the options available for my predicament. Her tips were very helpful and helped me get ready for my walk-in tomorrow. I'm hoping the staff will be as helpful as she was.

LA Passport Agency did an exceptional job processing passport renewals, considering the large daily volume of applicants. Be prepared to wait in line for possibly 1 hr. And don't be so set on your appointment time. As long as you have an appointment that day, you get in line with all others the same way. All of you essentially are put in a big pot when you arrive and appointment times don't really matter. Thanks Passport agency for being efficient and kind!

This is handled much like other government buildings, so prepare for lines and waiting. However, the waiting is very controlled, with helpful staff walking around providing useful information. The guards are also helpful, sharing directions and ensuring you're safe. The line can get long, so do your best to get an appointment. Pro tip - fill out all your paperwork before you show, bring some reading or a mobile device, and be patient.

We really had our hopes up on receiving a passport in time to make our flight. We made the huge mistake of not realizing my passport had expired. After reading the reviews and following instructions from others we hoped it would work in time.
Check in was excellent and everyone was very helpful. They said they hoped to have it completed by 11am. We showed up and it was not given to us until after 1:30pm. Missed our flight and had to pay a huge price to get new tickets.
The frustrating part was that they had another person's passport ready by 11:30am. After asking several times, and being told to check back in an hour, we finally called the number on the receipt and were told it was ready. When I went to the window and told them what I was told on the phone it was "suddenly" ready. Very frustrating since it seems like it had been ready the whole time and it could have saved us quite a lot of money and stress.

I came in thought I had to wait 2 weeks for my husband's expedited passport since I have one already & we had to leave soon, the process was so fast if i could rate more than 5 stars I would, everyone was literally so friendly especially in a government agency facility, even the security guards & the ones who checks the scanning of items for entrance, and the person who did my husbands passport application did it in like 5 mins, and it was ready to be picked up in 2 days ! Thank you so much !

Great service!!

Our situation was different as my son had an application in process with a different passport agency but we were missing one document. I was very nervous as we are scheduled to depart in just 5 days and I had received the missing document yesterday. We live in Las Vegas and this was our nearest passport agency.

The passport agent who helped up was beyond helpful and reassured me that everything was going to work out. He stated that he will follow up with a phone call to confirm that the paperwork he sent to the agency was accepted.

The moment he heard from the agency he gave me a call to let me know they had accepted my paperwork and they will overnight my son's passport.

We did arrive early as we didn't have an appointment. We arrived at 5:30am and there were about 13 people ahead of us. Total time from entering the building was 37 minutes

If you call in for an appointment reservation. It does not matter. Passport booklet plus North American travel card is about 225-235. Have your birth certificate, or old passport booklet, passport photo ready.

Passport booklet is good for ten years. They offer an two options for a passport. One with like 25 pages or so and one w 100 pages. No price difference.

You can pick up your passport in one day w an extra fee. Also, you can have it expedited through mail w extra fee too.
