Perhaps the worst DMV in California… And I’ve been to several due to work. It begins with a slap happy number but still have to stand in line system run by an everybody’s buddy security guard. Confusing and Reflective of the manager who has a giant stick up her ass. All I needed was a VINinspection that’s it. She couldn’t pry her butt off her chair to go out and do it like every other DMV does, claiming it was office policy that I had to register the vehicle there too. Office policy unique to that office. Really is none of her GD business where I’m registering it, My company does it by mail, which I explained. But logic is toxic to some. JUST do your job lady. Don’t forget you are a public servant. An hr 1/2 wasted. Went to palm desert and it was done in 15 mins. This was truly an example of someone who enjoys exercising their authority. while losing focus on their purpose.

Friendly employees despite being understaffed. The wait was longer than I would have liked for having an appointment but the transaction was quick and painless. They seem to switch between helping those in the appointment line and those without an appointment.

the waiting time was very long. when they tell you an appointment time come 15-30 minutes after.
Certain employs were extremely rude. If you ever been there I'm sure we all had 1 they popped up in our heads.
The DMV is ridiculous. I am so angry with that place, god please help me.

Horrible experience, I got there at 4:15 and didn't get seen till 5:30 and once I got seen I was seen by the lady with curly hair and glasses that usually works window 9 and I had forgot to get my temp permit & just cause I forgot 1 piece of paperwork in the car including my permit I asked her if I could go get it real quick in my car and she said NO WERE CLOSED WE CLOSED AT 5. So rude and giving me attitude and literally just walked away from the window nodding her head. What a horrible expireince

As of todays date they are only allowing 5 customers in at any given time. Meaning my usual terrible dmv experience just got even worse. I am sitting on the sidewalk outside the dmv while 6 of the 7 lobby chairs are empty. I feel bad for the old dude next to me no wonder there are fights here.

I was in here for four hours a couple weeks ago. I'm back today And it looks like, at least a two hour wait. If California wants all this compliance they should at least provide timely services.

This DMV really needs to sort themselves out. I've been here four times in the last month and a half and every time I come here it seems like only two people are working aside from the security guard. Sounds like they all take their lunch at the same time too( which is idiotic when there's so many people waiting to be helped.) I've had to wait for 4 hours before I finally got to a window. Today I had an appointment at 11:20 and I didn't get to a window until about noon (again, with an APPOINTMENT). The only good thing about this place that I've noticed is how positive the security guard is. He does a pretty good job of trying to keep people in a good mood regardless of their long wait. I can understand things going slow if there's a lot of people but The staff behind the counter seen careless of how long they make people wait and there just isn't enough staff.

If you make an appointment, it's fast and easy. Highly recommend that. Otherwise, it will take forever.

ever watch zootopia? yup, same dmv. I only needed a printout of my wife's driver's permit and I still ended up waiting in line for an hour. only ONE person was working the line and the appointment (which only had 5-7 people) had 2 workers. There's no logical waiting system, just wait in line. no you can't leave, no you cannot go outside, yes you have to sit down in the crammed space. No, DMV does not care about how many complaints they receive. it's been this way since I moved here 6 years ago.

I usually get pretty good service, but today was pretty bad. I got there around 9:30, and I left around 12, just to be told no, that they cannot register my vehicle from a non-op because there needs to be a 72 hour period between the non-op and re-registration. I had done it last week (I didn't know what was up with my vehicle when registration was due), 6 days prior to today, well over 72 hours. "But we had a weekend and a holiday where no one was here." That makes absolutely no sense when there is a "72-hour" wait time. What do office hours have to do with counting down hours? If someone can explain that, I'd be thankful because she was not helpful when I asked her to clarify.

Good people inside. They need more of them though, these long lines are outrageous
