We visited for Christmas. The night train ride and lights were amazing. The shops were all open and so was the carousel, but no other rides. Seems a little pricey for what was open, considering the regular daytime admission is only a few dollars more. Over all a good, fun trip!

My family has visited several times to see Thomas the Tank Engine, Letter Land, and most recently during Christmas. Each time the park has been themed and for Christmas, the park was filled with lights and holiday decorations. The night-time train ride was lit up and colorful, Santa was visiting, and you could climb inside a giant snow globe. There are plenty of rides and attractions and lots of fun for the whole family.

Tweetsie Railroad is an awesome place to take your young children. The service is over the top and the special events are incredible. We have never had a bad experience here. Be aware though, it is not a major theme park. There are no roller coasters or cutting edge thrill rides. It is aimed more at families with young kids. That being said, though our fifteen year old son still enjoys it. Great wholesome family fun!

Wonderful place for family fun. Not sure teens would be as impressed, (no extreme thrill rides or high tech adventures) but the 12 & under group absolutely LOVE it. Considering how old this park actually is, owner's have done a fantastic job keeping it updated and in perfect repair.
Lots if fun to keep you busy for the day. Built on a mountain side so be sure to wear comfy shoes! Manual wheel chairs and strollers are available, a bit difficult to push at times due to the steep inclines.

Wonderful place for making family memories. Grandparents and parents enjoyed Tweetsie as children and now they can see their little ones experiencing the same things. It's like traveling to an era of innocence and simpler times. I'd recommend Tweetsie to anyone, of any age, with or without children. The train ride on a real steam engine that was actually a workhorse in the mountains is worth the admission.

Awesome time with my kids. 4 range from 18 to 10. Went to visit my daughter at app state and we went here after dinner. Rode all the rides. Great service and nice folks. The ghost train was awesome!

Awesome place to take your kids! My grandmother took me when I was little and I'm proud to be carrying on the tradition with my granddaughter! We love it and will be back every year! 60 years and still going strong! Thank you Tweetsie!

This is a young children's theme park.

Almost all of it is extremely cheesy. However, the kids do love it. My eight year old and nine year old girls have loved it since they were toddlers. I think even my eight month old had a good time, as she didn't fuss at all, all day. The authentic steam train ride is a highlight, though the cheesy acting by the cowboy, Indian, and robber characters is painfully bad. In addition, I could've done without the politically correct revisionist history portrayed in the plot of the train show. But, again, the kids love it, and it's better than having the kids watch cowboys and Indians try to kill each other.

Food is reasonably priced by theme park standards, and the quality is good. There are candy shops as well, same story. If you eat in the park, you want the potato salad.

Souvenirs are also reasonably priced, though some of what they have (robot themed grabber arms, laser guns) don't fit the theme of the park and seem strangely out of place.

I AM worried that my older girls won't want to go when my infant and any other children my wife and I might have get older, because there's nothing to attract teenagers, unless they turn out as nerdy as I did and still think trains are cool when they're in high school. That's not factored into my review score, but if you have a mixed age family like that, that might be something you need to consider.

Loved, loved, loved our visit here. Definitely geared towards the 2-10 year old set. The staff went over and above to be informative, accommodating and to make our experience a positive one. The price is a smidge steep compared to other much larger and modern parks but it's something of a rite of passage growing up in NC to spend time here as a kid so it was worth it.

Great small theme park! We visit every year on vacation and it never gets old. Great train ride. We actually ride the train several times throughout the day as the show changes. Plenty of rides for all ages, kids to adults. Great food and small choices. We usually get there at opening and are finished late afternoon.

So much fun. Wasn't too busy. Lines moved quickly. The staff was friendly and happy, smiled and waved at everyone when Thomas went by! A memorable day with a 6 yo!

I used to love this place when I was a young child. I drove up from Tampa to take my kid here today for her tenth birthday and it was still fun, but the Indian show has gotten really lame since I was a kid. It used to be fun and dramatic and they would "shoot" the Indians. Now it's politically correct and the Indian show is super gay. Thanks democrats for ruining a childhood favorite of mine.

Tweetsie Railroad is a family friendly place to visit. The staff here is so friendly and attentive. The train show is fairly loud so if you have kids bring some head phones. Also DO NOT forget sun glasses if you come on the train, or you will get a cinder in your eye. To save money bring your own Lunch or Dinner. Now, come to Tweetsie!!!!

What a fun time! My young children LOVED it. We purchased season passes so we can come many more times. There were hardly any lines, the rides seemed well-maintained, and it was clean. We were able to bring in our own food. Bathrooms were clean and available on each level. The staff was very friendly and seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. We can't wait to go back!
