I had a good and professional visit. I was seen in a timely manner and was very pleased with the doctor. I can't remember her name but she had a wonderful bedside manner. I got a shot and was released. About an hour after I got home both of my ears became stopped up and I had to go to Med center again. Again ther staff got me back and it was diagnosed I need to have my ears irrigated. As I was waiting for the nurse to bring in the irrigation supplies I began to have a allergic reaction to the shot I had at my 1st visit. Thank you Dr. Lovely for taking such good care of me and the phone call to check on me. You're the best!!! Thumbs up to Med Center South!
My son got sick while he visited my mom. The office handled everything very smoothly, and the Dr was great about explaining everything in detail. I was even able to participate by video messenger on my mom's phone so I could answer questions about medical history, ask questions about care and have involvement in his medical care from hundreds of miles away. Amazing team they have there!
I went in first thing in the morning and was in and out within an hour. Probably closer to half an hour. Saw a nurse before I could even finish filling out paperwork. This is my go to when sick. Everyone is kind and helpful.
My daughter fell and hit her head that left a small gash on her forehead. My neighbors recommended MedCenter South and I'm so glad they did. The staff was absolutely superb. They took excellent care of my daughter, who is 2 and was scared. They gave her lots of stickers and crayons to color with, which helped her be more at ease. I loved that the doctor and the nurses told me what they were doing and why. I greatly appreciated that. I only waited for maybe 10 minutes in the waiting area which was fantastic. If I ever need to use an urgent care again I will definitely come here again and recommend them to everyone.
From the moment I came in until my discharge I had a very pleasant experience. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and well spoken. Triage was very thorough and again very kind and concerned. The nurse practitioner (I can't remember her name) was so super kind and actually listened to everything I said. My experience has been most don't but she did..and Sweet Dr Lovely was awesome. So if I need to visit urgent care again it will be at MedCenter South.
I just received my bill from my July 16, 207 visit, so I am now comfortable responding.
Thank you! My unexpected visit to the clinic while visiting Tuscaloosa receives a 4.5 out of 5 rating from me. "Cody" and "Josh" were attentive and provided great service. My only note would be the reception desk staff might benefit from a lesson on friendliness. They were not rude, but none seemed happy to be working the day I arrived. Customer service starts there. Again, thank you for providing a reasonably priced medical intervention for an out of state visitor. The in-office care was most beneficial in making a flight home more tolerable.
Excellent! This was the best medical facility I have been to in a long time, I'd highly recommend them. The staff is friendly and organized, as well as helpful. They processed all patient information quickly and the paperwork was minuscule. My wait time was also very brief(a plus in my book). Doctors were professional and seemed actually concerned about my symptoms, unlike other places I've been where I've been brushed off. They are some of the best! Both the triage staff and the phlebotomist and doctors are definitely working together here and it shows. I'll definitely be back here again soon, if need be. Fantastic staff, clean facility, and they actually care for the patients and ask questions. Highly highly recommend!
Awful experience. I went at night two hours before they closed and the waiting room was packed! Waited over 3 hours just to see a doctor. The girls up front were extremely rude and acted as if they we being inconvienced when dealing with my insurance. Do not come here. It will be worth your while to go somewhere else.
Literally the worst experience I've EVER had a professional doctor office. 4 + hour wait while at the office, give blood on a Wednesday and told I would receive a call with results by Thursday afternoon, Saturday comes and still nothing and all they can say is they're here but dr is too busy???? INCOMPETENT. AVOID this office at all cost if you want halfway decent treatment.
Took my son there on a Saturday and they said he had no infections just a viral cold. I knew something was wrong took him to his pediatrician and he has an ear and sinus infection. All they did was look at him with their eyes didn't swab for anything and didn't look in his ears. I will never go back there again
Not a pleasant experience at all today
When I got to the back with my son the nurse began triage. She asked if I wanted him swabbed for strep. The nurse said the test was "20% accurate". I told her I didn't want it if that were the case. She said the Dr. would still want it done. She said it would take 5 minutes to read.
Over an hour later, no one else came to the room. I went to the desk (where at least 5 nurses were congregating) to ask what was going on especially after seeing others who arrived long after us leave. I was told it was probably because they had a lot of things to do for my son. I told her the only that had been done was a swab and that the Dr. had not even seen him yet.
About 20 minutes or so later, the Dr. came in for about 3-5 minutes. The swab was reportedly negative. Although she was nice, the overall experience had been ruined at that point.
I usually love this place. So, I'm not sure what was going on today
We are not from Tuscaloosa, so I took my son there with fever Thought he had a bad cold or flu, but turns out he had Lyme disease. He had been in the woods earlier on our vacation. Doctor put him on antibiotics because of his symptoms, and also took plenty of time to talk with us and answer questions. Everyone was superb! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the blood tests took much longer than we were told. Not directly Med South's fault, but still caused us quite a bit of anxiety.
I've since read that waiting until blood work returns before beginning antibiotics often causes Lyme disease to be much worse. I do appreciate the doctor's expertise! I would easily use this Med South again!!!
THANKS EVERYONE THERE!
