Doctor Matthews is great at listening to patients. My issue is with the main nurse Pam. She is a total b____. That's the only way to explain her. After the last of several issues with her we spoke with the office manager and she made the nurse call us and apologize. Then we began to have issues with the billing department requiring us to pay for services in spite of our Medicare and BcBs insurance. This something we haven't done in 20 years. After several weeks of calls and letters the money was paid back to us. Then we received a certified letter telling they could no longer see us and we should find a new doctor and they would send our 25 years of records to the new doctor. After 8 months it still has not happened. A heatless place with the exception of Dr Matthews, Barbara at the front desk and CRNP Barraza.

Dr. Edwin Matthews is great. he's very compassionate and while talking with him it doesn't seem like your just a name on his clipboard. He is very friendly with a relaxed demeanor.

his nurse, well, she made me feel as if I wasn't the same quality of person she is.

They are crooks!!! It doesn't matter if you are on a mantience drug. They will not refill your script (I'm talking about zoloft btw not a narcotic) unless they see you every 3 months. I asked them could they write my script and that I was waiting for my new insurance to come through they said no. Well I didn't have the 90 for them to hand me the script at the timeNeedless to say I suffered from ssri withdrawals until my new cards came in which since they was a problem on the insurance end I went without for 2 months. On top of that they are rude and basically they don't care for their patient s unless you are getting botox apparently. Do NOT go here. They have even had a write up on the newspaper for scamming people. Truly sickening

I haven't been to the doctor in years and I come back to this place and the staff wasn't very friendly. And they don't give good directions at all. They look at me like I should already know exactly what to do. Poor service poor rating. I would give negative 5 stars if at all possible.

Great experience at Gill Family Medicine!! I came in as a new patient. The staff was friendly and had my paperwork ready for me to begin filling out as soon as I arrived. I only waited in the lobby for a few minutes before I was called back to the exam room. I described why I was there and the doctor gave me honest straightforward patient care. He answered all of my questions and concerns, then simply explained the next steps, without talking over my head. I felt very taken care of and was highly pleased with my care. Thanks for making my experience painless!
