Very clean, quiet and hospitable. Far enough from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to walk the Parkway (within 5 minutes) and no messing with parking charges. Very pleased with free gourmet breakfasts and sack lunches including snacks and drinks for a nominal fee (all of mine were gluten free). They provided detailed hiking information leading us to specific trails beyond the norm. We'll definitely stay again!
Just visited last week and stayed for 3 nights. Really nice hosts and very good breakfasts. The inn is up on the hill so it is a bit away from the noise of downtown, but it is close enough that you can walk into town to eat or for entertainment. Nice dark curtains allow you to sleep in if you'd like. Different yummy breakfast each day and lots of snacks and drinks are out in case you get hungry or thirsty. They also offer a bag lunch if you're headed to the park where they don't have food. We'd definitely return if in the area!
Susan, Luann, Chuck and Glenn are wonderful people. Their hospitality is great. We really enjoyed the excellent breakfast and they put together a great picnic lunch for us as well. The Tudor Inn is hands down the best place to stay in Gatlinburg. It is close to everything but quite and serene. The room was large and private and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend Tudor Inn.
I love this place, and will be coming back !
I came to Gatlinburg to see the 4th of July midnight parade and to stay and watch the fireworks the next day. I was looking for a hotel in Gatlinburg on or near the strip, so I would not have to fight traffic, or deal with parking issues. The Tudor Inn sits about 3 blocks from the main strip, in a quiet forested area. We had off street parking, and an individual code lock for both the main and our room door. The price was comparable to other 3-4 star hotels in the area, but the atmosphere was so much better than any hotel. The staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and they made the Best breakfast each morning.
The staff made their atmosphere warm and inviting. They made a point to learn your name, and introduced everyone else during breakfast. That was a very nice touch, the perfect ice-breaker for fellow travelers.
We stayed in Tudor Inn for 4 nights and it was a very good experience. Like many folks said in their reviews the inn has a great location that is near everything. You can walk to shops and restaurants after a day out hiking. It is in a safe area, quiet but not far from all activities. We totally love their breakfast of course. Luann is a great chef and she is very caring and attentive to her guests. We will definitely come back to stay at the Tudor Inn in Gatlinburg in the future and will recommend it to our friends and family.
