In Tucson for work, found this place on my first night for dinner, went back the second night. People are great, food is good pub food, portions are large, reasonable selection of beer
Went to dinner here with son and girlfriend we had a great time the food was excellent and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful would hi. Would highly recommend.
Very good food and a nice atmosphere. Proud to support former military. Drink specials were good too. We were just in town for business, but based on this experience I would definitely recommend this to others and will be coming back next time we are here.
Love happy hour here. Great prices and great bar food. Got the chicken skewers with peanut sauce which was tender and delicious. The loaded fries and beer battered fried pickles are great too. The bruchetta was good but not spectacular. Overall enjoy this place.
Great atmosphere and food so good you will forget it's a bar! Highly recommended
Acessibilty for a wheelchair and parking was a bit rough. I parked next door at Buffalo exchange. Service was excellent, clam chowder was yum, fish and chips were decent. It lacked a little taste. The portion and flakiness were good. The fries were very good. I would have like spicier cocktail sauce. I did enjoy trident and may try a different locating for acessibilty.
We had the oysters and the sliders. Very good. Almost $3 for soft drinks is a little high. A little noisy but great atmosphere.
Trident, IMHO, makes some of the best shrimp and fish tacos in town. I am always so happy to make it there for happy hour and devour a couple of each! Locally owned and operated, this is a great place to watch a UofA game.
Great little spot. The BLT was good and had a lot of bacon in it and had a good helping of fries. It's also a good place to catch a game from what I hear. And I especially love all the art they have on the wall, such as old school navy and sailor posters. And The staff was very polite and helpful.
I've passed this place more times than I can count, and finally gave it a try. The Trident Burger was nice and moist, served on a great bun. The fries were crispy and nicely salted. The wait staff was a bit preoccupied, but got everything right, so it's all good. I'd come here again!
Nice staff, and Ok food. Quiet atmosphere. Good place to hols serious discussions about nothing.
Trident is good local restaurant. (Heard talk of franchising out of state soon potentially). Have come here for many years. Don't let how busy it looks fool you, the staff are pro. Have welcomed recent menu additions focused on health concious fair, but everything's great from the friend pickles with 'canteen' (horseradish)sauce, to sesame chicken skewers to the local craft drafts. Do miss the waffle fries though. Second location has less nautical/military ambiance than original which I appreciate. Cheers, thanks, and best wishes to owner Nelson and his crews in future
Would you be surprised to hear that a sports bar in Tucson is known for their delicious salads and seafood? As the wise Julie Chen always says, "expect the unexpected" (yeah that's a reality TV show reference and I apologize). Trident Grill's owner hails from Maryland and brought some very decent seafood with him, a rarity in the desert. However, if you are a normal person and didn't come to a sports bar for food with low cholesterol, have no fear! The burgers and other typical sports bar snacks were all great. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and made some food suggestions for us that were once again, impressive. My personal suggestion is the fried pickles. Yes, it's a simple snack but we all know simplicity is the ultimate sophistication (use that line next time you want to justify ordering fried food).
A small footnote that might interest some: trivia is held here every Wednesday at 8 PM. So taking a trip to Trident Grill can be a positive experience for the body, and the mind.
Excellent food. My other half said he had the bay burger he'd ever had in his life here. I love peanut Thai skewers. Also crab stuffed mushrooms. Everything here is great. Must stop if you live in or visit tucson.
