We were staying in Onekama for a long weekend, doing daily rides on our mountain bike hybrids around the area, when both of my pedals started to strip, one falling out completely. First, we were lucky that 23 miles from home, sporting 1 working pedal, a nice former auto worker tossed our bikes in his pickup and drove us all the way to our Inn and our car. Thanks Kirk! Our second luck was finding Jeff and Trailhead bikes only an hour away in Ludington. They had my sprocket, cranks and pedals in stock, took me right into the shop around 4:30, and had me out and ready to roll by 5. Super nice, quality bikes and equipment, friendly service.

The entire staff at Trailhead was professional yet very warm and welcoming. We're not locals but had taken a ride in from Ludington State Park and had some minor problems with our bikes. The staff adjusted gear shifts and made sure our tires had the appropriate air pressure to put us back on the road quickly. We're going to stop tomorrow to make some purchases from these trustworthy folks before heading on to the next trek on our journey.

Best bike shop on the Lakeshore period. Knowledgeable friendly staff willing to share vast insight about local rides. Reasonable prices. I could go online to buy a bike for a couple dollars cheaper, but I have always bought bikes for me and my family from Jeff. He and his staff have never let me down when something goes wrong with them.
