I have been with Drs. Weiner & Jewell since the late 80's and Dr. Dashkevicz since she was a tech. Although I've been lucky enough to experience many qualified DVMs none can quite compare to this group. Their compassion, quality of care and value make them unbeatable. No matter who my appointment is with I can be confident that my pet will get the best of care. Whether its a routine physical or something serious this is my first stop.and should be yours as well! Thank you to the entire staff!

Dr Weiner seems to care about the animals with small problems but let's the dieng sick ones with cancer ect+ suffer sometimes more then they should without proper pain medicine, my dog died a slow death Boe was a beautiful brown weimarane with greenish eyes, I could tell he was in pain everyday I should have been more upfront with asking to improve medicine but I didn't know better back then I knew nothing about animal care/medicine after taking vet courses myself and becoming certified as an assistant I see my dog could have been prescribed better things to make him 100% more comfortable before he died and while he dealt with his anxiety through this life, big beautiful Boe was also scared of visits and clestrophobic in the car or had fear of driving and with old age and cancer and he wasn't even pescribed proper medicine to calm him down, but instead he got some kind of sleeping medicine that made him sick and dizzy.. I wish I could remember the names of these medicines so you can avoid them and make sure your pet isn't his new test guinie pig (both the pain med and anxiety med that are horrible with side effects started with a "T" the pain medicine starting with a T was the worst with side effect) Try to avoid them or ask for something different.

Please be smarter then me and tell him "NO we would prefer to avoid this junk medicine your prescribing" it just made him dizzy with weird side effects your better off getting human meds and dosing your dogs by yourself when it comes to anxiety/pain just ask a more experienced Vet and ask how much a dog would need vs a human because their metabolism is different and they sometimes need more or less depending on the drug, for me I take 2mg klonopin for general anxiety/clestrophobia and I had to sacrifice my script to make sure my dog wasn't having spasms/anxiety (I triple checked this with other vets to be sure it was safe!" ) The top Vet in NJ told me " veterinary application of clonazepam is commonly used for the treatment of anxiety and panic-type disorders in dogs and cats. Specific uses include treatment of thunderstorm phobia and other phobias, separation anxiety, and other situational fears, such as car travel or veterinary office visits" so thankfully I found my holy grail of anxiety for my Boe.. the only problem.. I was wasting my own medicine and the Vet could have been writing extra real pain/anxiety scripts on top of what he gave but was just keeping them for himself and is an addict?.. or this Weiner Vet maybe doesn't know about medicine or just old and doesn't know theres knew better meds with less side effects..Why else let an animal suffer through cancer/pain/anxiety with such lame meds? No sympathy for the poor dogs with cancers and phobias? :(

Dr. Alex is awesome. She loves dogs (gets down on the floor with ours) and knows her stuff yet still listens closely to our descriptions of problems and concerns. The office staff is great. The office is clean, but feels a little worn down.

This place was a bunch of clowns. I brought my dog in telling them the the dog is not acting right.A new puppy with the paperwork. After one of the doctors looking at the dog and speaking to me. Sent me home saying he's ok. No test no blood work just eye sight and a thermometer. Now my wife calls me back an hour later saying I'm taking the dog somewhere else. He's not right. Well what do you know a real doctor ran a couple of test, 103 fever & the Parvo virus which could kill him. Immediate hospitalization. My wife than calls back to complain about the quick release, and this doctor Wiener drops some excuses like your husband said. Than gets a little nasty wanting to know why we didn't come back to him. I guess she figured if we're making our own diagnosis why we gonna pay this guy.
