Visited Total Firearms Nov. 20, 2017 for my first time. Great experience at their range. Ed, the range boss, was very friendly and helpful, even helping me with a mechanical issue with a new pistol. He gave me step by step instructions as to how to take the gun apart and reassemble. Hourly range rate is very good and I even got an NRA member discount. I will definitely return.

The two men who helped me make a purchase tonight were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Both were named Jason and they listened to what I wanted, make excellent recommendations and processed the purchase quickly and professionally. Several people warned me that women were not always treated well here, but I'm happy to report my experience was excellent. I wasn't at all savvy, but both men answered my questions without being condescending or making me feel silly for not knowing something. I felt I learned a lot from them and made the right purchase for me.

I recently worked with Dwayne while shopping for a sub-compact model pistol. The entire experience was positive Dwayne was professional, knowledgeable, and not to mention patient with my questions. After making a purchase, I came back the next day and used the indoor range. The range officer was helpful, and supported a safe shooting environment. I would highly recommend Brian! Not only is he very knowledgeable of the products he sells, he is a teacher. He spent probably a good hr with us and made sure that we were purchasing the correct tool for our comfort level and price. I appreciated his patience. I highly recommend this place!!!!

Needed to put some time in at the range. Rj and the staff were friendly and helpful. The range was very safe and controlled. After I was done shooting I looked at some revolvers (have been looking for one awhile). They have a great selection, Bree is kind and showed me what they had in my price range and let me check them out. I am very happy with my new gun and will be back to get my practice time in.

Great customer service. The staff has a no nonsense approach to doing business. I was able to enter the store knowing what gun I wanted and was out of the store with my purchase in 20 minutes.
The store has a great selection of both firearms and ammunition. I was able to use a coupon from their ad in the news paper to get a pretty solid discount on a gun that I had been price researching.

Some of the most mediocre buying experiences I've ever had. Sales staff are rude and belittling, often ignoring interested customers. Staff are also ignorant and only seem interested in hawking overpriced inventory. Will never make a firearm purchase here again, despite the interesting milsurp.

Brian at Total Firearms is awesome. Me and 2 buddies spent nearly 30 minutes listening to him explain basic hand gun and shooting info. We are all relatively new and he was great. I recommend anyone that is starting out to stop by for some great info from Brian or any of the staff. They don't make you feel like an idiot for asking questions and are likely to give you more info than you request with no high pressure to purchase.

I started out as a customer and found myself spending so much time and money here it only made sense to get a job here. As a customer I always found the staff knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great selection of firearms and ammunition and the range staff is top notch.. As an employee I have continued to find that the staff is a great group that I enjoy working with. Are there times when people have bad days? Sure just like the real world we are real people with real lives that no matter how hard we may try still bleed over into our professional lives at times. I encourage anyone who may have had a negative experience to remain open to the fact that we are all human and therefore are subject to human flaws. Overall I think Total is a great place to work and a great place to shop.

This shop has BY FAR the best selection in the Lansing area. Staff have been exceptionally friendly and helpful during my visits! Despite being somewhat infrequent in the last year, they recognized me. Made me feel welcome.
The range right in the shop is really convenient. This is one of the first places I check whenever I'm looking for something interesting! Bought a couple P08 Lugers here in the last year, for example. They even worked with me to set up a way to surprise my girlfriend with a gift of a gun (using layaway) so it could all be done in accordance with law and registered to her. Great place, great people!
