This is a hidden gem for sure. They've been at this location since the 50s and not much has changed. The food is great the ice cream is rich and the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.

Best grilled ham and cheese around and today had vegetable soup, too! Great staff, great food, and there is the incredible candy, nuts, and ice cream!!

Love this place! It's like going back in time when you walk through the doors. Sweet little 50's style ice cream shop. The ice cream is amazing! I'd recommend to anyone. We go anytime we're in the area.

The best ice cream. Just the best. Thanks to my Muskingum College spouse, I've discovered an American gem.

Love Tom's ice cream and food. The fresh nuts are great, too.
Deducted one star because the prices are a little steep, especially for some of the food items.

Great flavors, some seasonal and some year-round. They will hand-pack any flavor they have, so you can take it home. They have hot items so you can have a meal, but people come for the ice cream.

Ice cream was good. Service was very poor. My order was taken and the waitress said she would be back to take my husbands ice cream order. My order was brought out half melted with the check and when I finally got the attention of another server about my husband's order not being taken yet and the check already being delivered to the table, she said "oh", mention something to the waitress that waited on us and still no one came back to our table. We paid and left. This is in very poor taste for a place that's been in business for so long. I would not recommend fir travelers. It caters more to locals.

Best ice cream parlor I have ever been in. Home made ice cream and several (more then 10) natural flavors. Old time made from scratch burgers. Yuumyist food I have eaten in my 66 yrs. The also have dozens on home made fudge and nuts in a heated case like Sears used to sell in my youth. I had a 1/2 pound of Cashews. Can't wait to go back!!

Our family is from Northern Ohio and we drive to Zanesville several times a year to visit Tom's! Absolutely love the chili and burgers! The ice cream is unbelievably delicious and the serving sizes are really generous!!

Great experience and very good ice cream. It's like stepping back in time; hollywood could film a movie here. Portions are huge and the ice cream is very good.

Always listed as one of the top places in Ohio for ice cream. Their home-made ice cream is delicious and so are the food items we bought. If you want fancy, there are other places. If you want old-school and tasty, this is your place!

I grew up enjoying Tom's, this place holds a very special place in my heart. My Mom worked there while she attended Secretarial School in the 1950's & my parents always went there for dates. My youngest daughter and her fiance got engaged here because he knew how special this place is to her.

This place is legendary. They send classic diner fare, but their big claim to frame is the delicious array of house-made ice cream. The servings are generous and it's just SO good. Their fresh roasted nuts and big selection of chocolate candies are great, too. The employees are friendly and clean-cut, sporting 50's style white shirts and bowties. We just love Tom's. It's worth our drive every time!
