I took a test-drive, they took every dollar I had.
I told the salesman I’d never ridden a scooter before and I had some injuries and wanted something cheap and low-power just to get around my neighborhood.
On the phone he said he could finance me below 8% for 2 years, in person those numbers became over 8% for 5 years.
Pretty standard dealership stuff, not cool, but still typical.
Then he convinced me to get on the back of a vehicle that turned out to be legally a motorcycle that cost thousands of dollars.
I couldn't control it, almost crashed it during the test-drive, and when it was all over, Mark literally wouldn't listen to me when I said I didn’t want it.
Despite having SEEN my driver’s license and hearing me verbally explain to him that I do not have a motorcycle endorsement, he tried to convince me to drive this thing home – which would have been totally illegal, and obviously unsafe.
So, after all was said and done, they kept the vehicleand somehow, they also kept the money I was going to use as a down-payment.
Seriously.
I thought it was a legitimate business when I started the process, so I actually gave Mark the cash for a down-payment before we even did the test-drive, and after it was over, he wouldn't give it back.
Almost two weeks later a manager informed me the vehicle was ‘damaged’ during the test-drive, and they had to keep my money to repair it.
If there was damage, it should have been covered by the dealership’s insurance….but Mark put me on the back of a motorcycle without a motorcycle license, so their insurance wont pay….so they expect ME to.
That was my experience.
Very professional, friendly and knowledge staff. I recommend the shop and I'll be going back.
Got a bike with no problem..everything was trouble free with nice people
Good service department. All the floor sales people are riders and ex-mechanics - very knowledgeable and friendly. A little slow in getting specific bikes in for test drive though.
I like that they have a lot in stock and folks are friendly. But, my biggest complaint is that I feel like I'm always being "sold". Also, a few there don't seem to know what they are talking about. However, there is more good than bad and I will likely continue to patronize the establishment.
Just picked up a bike from here, David the salesman did an awesome job in helping me out with everything and was super friendly! (Highly recommend him!). Also all staff were always there and never kept me waiting. The manager explained and clarified a lot of information to me too. Outstanding customer service I was very happy leaving the dealership. Will definitely come here for all my services and future purchases. Thank you Thousand Oaks Powersports!
Brian is the man! dropped my bike off on Saturday and was told it would be ready the following middle of the week. i called on Wednesday and said i needed it by Friday instead of next week for a last minute ride and the parts weren't even in yet. Brian put a rush on it and it was finished by the close of business Thursday. It was like a whole new bike! Thanks Brian!
I bought a 2015 yamaha bolt a over a year ago. I thought I was getting a great deal on a loan. In the end it is just a rip off credit card with high interest after the first year. (was not told about this by the dealership.) BEWARE of this credit card.
Do not order anything from their website! I ordered an item, they processed my payment, and come to find out 5 days later that they don't even have it in stock and they priced it wrong. The worse part of it is is that I would of never known unless I initiated contact with them first and they didn't respond until my 3rd email. Customer rep tells me 'it's a new website and they are working out the quarks and there is an internal emailing problem.' He only offered a refund and a poor excuse. Never mind that they took my money and now I have to wait for the refund which he hasn't even processed yet and I am still waiting for. I will never do business with them again. Worst experience ever.
Service Dept On point! THIS is the place you want to bring your bike to for service.
Trained technicians NOT some "kid" in a t-shirt who will experiment with your bike, pop a wheelie in the alley, or strip a bolt and then not tell you about it like at some of the other dealers.
Best prices around.
No markups, no lavish padding of the labor hours. These guys are HONEST!!!
Dropped my bike off with a small coolant leak. My bike is 7 years old with 64,000 miles. Tony told me it turns out it was the thermostat housing that was leaking. 2 days to get OEM parts in, $170 in parts & labor later, and I'm back on the road.
Very happy and will bring my bike back again for service.
I've been doing business with Thousand Oaks Powersports lately, especially for parts, tires and accessories. This dealership is simply incredible. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, great prices and discounts and a wide selection of bikes and accessories. I highly recommend them regardless of whether you ride a sportbike, cruiser or dirt bike. Practically the perfect dealership
Bobby sold me my first new motorcycle from T.O. Since then I have recommended many friends and family who have gotten bikes from them as well. I speak very highly of the shop as they always provide excellent service. They keep all their prices reasonable so my brother and I can continue to race. I live an hour away from Thousand Oaks but still get everything I need from them because service the that they provide is much more superior than my local ktm dealer. Thank you for everything. 6 stars
