I have no idea why there are so many negative complaints on here. My Wife and I have lived here for about a year in a half. We've had 2 different apartments in this complex. We have never been disappointed with anything. The maintenance workers are always extremely polite and very helpful. The office ladies are always very welcoming and kind. Of course the place isn't perfect, but find me one apartment complex that is! You guys at thornridge do an amazing job and we plan on being here for another couple years!

Ridiculous and thirsty for money. Takes weeks to get a simple thing fixed. Hard to get ahold of for serious matters unless it includes them getting more money. It really seems as if they don’t care. Left.

This company is more worried about profits then renewing contracts with service providers. They have no concern about the tenants here's and don't do anything in forms of courtesy, if they are doing maintenance on the property. Office people are nice and helpful. The maintenance office though is full of people that don't understand anything and rude almost all the time. Apartments are okay some are well built. I am in building 5 and it seems good but I know others in buildings 19 and 23 and they say they are terrible. Which they are newer units. I can't recommend anyone to stay over a year since the increase rent annually. My experience so far has been good actually. But seeing everything this complex has to offer it's just not very good.

I have never posted a review before on anything but I just feel the need to let everyone know to avoid living here. The apartments are very nice looking and the staff is nice to, until you move in. I have lived here for almost 10 months know and the noise is ridiculous. I have to sleep with earplugs in every night because I can hear everything the person above me does (and I mean everything). I avoid sleeping here whenever I can, I try and stay at a friend's. Sucks paying money for a place you can't even stay in. I've lived in many other apartments so I understand a tolerable noise level. The staff will also tell you they are doing everything they can but they need to follow procedures. It's been over a month now since I've reported the noise 5 different times, and yet still nothing has been done. Can't wait to move out.

My mother and I have lived adjacent to each other here for at least the last ten years now. We truly have found a wonderful home here at Thornridge, what with having beautiful apartments, a great leasing staff, a wonderful maintenance staff including the maintenance secretary and maintenance supervisor- all working hard for the common good of the property. Maintenance calls are taken care of swiftly and correctly, for this we thank you. The apartments are quiet, neighbors are good quality and Thornridge is just an all around HAPPY place to reside. We absolutely love it here!!!

    Sincerely,

Of all the apartments I have lived in, this was the worst by far. During every interaction I had with the office staff, I got the impression that they didn’t care about the tenant and were there just for the paycheck. I called on 5 different occasions both while I lived there and during the process of moving in and left messages each time requesting them to call me but they never did. During each lease renewal process, the staff made no attempt to accommodate me and the only semblance of caring I got from them was when I spoke to the property manager about the whole ordeal. On two different occasions I was told different things (about leasing options) by different employees and both were equally adamant that they were right and no one could tell me what was actually correct.
During my stay there all of the appliances were replaced minus the toilet, washer, dryer (where were all fixed 2-4 times) and the stove. The only positive thing is that maintenance is usually prompt when they do have to do repairs.
Pros: Maintenance repairs were quick, pretty good location, neighbors were not loud, decent size for the price.

Cons: I never had a positive interaction with the office staff, I never got the impression that the office staff cared about me, and I felt like they saw me as a rent check.

Overall, I would not recommend living here.

Going to start negative with BEWARE. SILVERFISH. But I will get to that.

Really like the layout and the rooms are great sizes. Love that there is a dog park and the lawns stay trimmed and clean. Can pay and request maintenance online.

The dog waste bags need to be changed more often. It's ridiculous.

Dudes who drive giant trucks all double park which makes my husband who comes home at 2am to park at a different building sometimes. Boys and their precious trucks

Girls in the office are something else I called the office about smelling cigarette smoke in our apartment. She, Jamie?, robotically tells me that I can leave a message with maintenance and they can come seal my door better. Um. OK. Problem is the vents. I can smell it in our closets and rooms. I asked if smoking was even allowed because there's a notice posted above our mailboxes saying you have to be X amount of feet from the building. She said that smoking IN apartments is allowed but they cannot be in the hallways or on the decks. Makes no sense.

Also EVERY time we go in the office, we sit and wait 10+ minutes just to speak to them because there's usually only 2 of them on a weekend. We will even call ahead to make sure everything is good to go so we can just walk in, sign our papers, and get out ASAP and not waste any of our time. But it's never ready. We had to resign our lease 4 TIMES because of their mistakes when we had to renew our lease because of my name change.

As far as noise, we live on the 3rd floor and while we hear normal apartment noise from surrounding apartments, the people below us have always been ridiculous. Year one was a screaming couple who would physically fight. Year two were a couple of sorority girls. And currently as I type this I can hear him right now, who my husband and I have named Sir Coughs Alot. More like hacking. I would suggest not to be on the 2nd floor to avoid the most noise but that's probably obvious.

Maintenance. If it's an easy task: need bathroom sink unclogged, dryer vent unclogged, simple quick fixes, they are pretty good about it. But we have had 2 major problems the past 3 years that we called multiple times and have never been fixed. One is that our bedroom window leaks from cracking on the top of the window frame from water running down the building. Maintenance has come two or three times and 2 times left a note saying 'the issue is outside. It's a quick fix' but being the 3rd floor it's never been fixed. We've even told them the issue is outside in the roof or wall before they come and yet still not fixed. Have to use a towel on heavy rain days. It's your guys' building at the end of the day if you want it to crumble..

And worst for last. SILVERFISH. The very first week here they started showing up. We called immediately and MULTIPLE times. And I can't imagine that others in my building haven't called too because they are in our hallways even first floor. They are coming from the attic or ceiling area. They come thru our vents. We have had them FALL ON US, been in EVERY room including closets, and on our furniture. Maintenance has come 3 times to 'spray'. We explained they are coming from the ceiling. This dude sprayed just the baseboard of our hallway. That's it. That was the final time they sprayed too, the first two we weren't home to witness. At one point they put a dehumidifier in our apartment for a day because silverfish hate dryness. Because that will clearly work.. They allegedly put the dehumidifier in the attic for a while as well. We just gave up. We sprayed in the vents repellent but didn't matter. It's our norm now before going to bed to look around every room for them because they're nocturnal. When we move it'll be weird NOT looking for them. You may be wondering why didn't we move immediately or when our yearly time to possibly move came up. Simply put it's a good spot between our jobs and moving as you know, is expensive and time consuming and the pricing in these apartments are very fair and free heat for us.

We are moving soon and that will be that.

My experience is just by checking into possibly renting. The person who answered the phone was rude.

I've lived in 3 other apartments & Thornridge by far has been the worst experience I've had. Our apartment recently flooded & 8 had to threaten to bring my attorney in before they agreed to clean/change the carpet & fix the dry wall. When the trim was removed from the walls there was BLACK MOLD in my bedroom where my one year also sleeps. My consumers bill was ran up an extra $200 from them running vacuums, turning my air on, etc. & they still won't reimburse me for that. Not to mention the living room carpet that was "new." Wasn't new, it was falling apart & the metal bar between the living room & dining room was so damaged it had to be replaced. If it was so damaged when they put the supposedly new carpet in, why wasn't it changed before? The maintenance man has lied over & over about the condition of our apartment, not only to us, but to several of my family members. The whole staff is rude & incosiderste. I've called several times with complaints just for them to tell me "we'll call you before the end of the day" just to have to call them back 3 days later because they never call. Once my lease is up I will be moving out immediately & I surely will not recommended this awful apartment complex to anyone.

Aside from normal apartment living issues.. I love it here! Super quiet typically, and living on the bottom floor has saved me tons because it stays cool enough in the summer not to have to use the air conditioning. Also, Everytime maintenance has come they've been extremely friendly! And they explain what they're doing to you so that you know what to look for next time if it happens again, or you just stay up to date!
