I took my dog for rabies shot and for some drainage in her ears. After the doctor examined my dog her diagnosis was severe ear infection. Specimen was taken for culture and sensitivity which will determine what kind of antibiotic my dog needs. The doctor saiditwill take 3- 4 days to know the results. One week went by and no call from the doctor. We called and was told the result is not back yet. Another day went by and because we are worried about the dog wrcalled again. No result yet. Ridiculous! Severe ear infection the doctor said and yet no tmedication started yet because the lab result is not back yet. Terrible experience. I just hope my dog will not get worst.

I have been a client of Dr. Burkes for 15 years and have always found both Dr. Burke and her staff to be wonderful. Thank you all!

We have been taking our 5 cats and a few strays to Thoreau for the past 7 years and I can't thank them enough. Dr. Burke and her team have always been caring, attentive, and supportive.

Dr. Marks was absolutely incredible with our 19 year old Maine Coon mix. She was extremely thorough and caught things another emergency vet hadn't. (Unfortunately, that was cancer.) In our hour long appointment, she was able to see just how amazing our sweet boy is. And when she broke the news to us, she cried right along with us. This woman truly cares for her patients and their families. And though we are devastated beyond belief, we are grateful to her for taking her time with him while being so thorough, compassionate, and comforting. Thank you, Dr. Marks, for taking such great care of our beautiful boy.

Very poor customer service. I made an "emergency" appointment and when I walked in with my dogs at the scheduled time they quickly took me to an exam room and told me that the Vet would be there "shortly". A 1/2 hour later I asked how long it would be and they said "about 10 minutes". Ten minutes later a Vet tech arrived to 'get things started' and I asked when the Vet would arrive. He said he couldn't predict a time. They had no idea of how long it would take for my "emergency". They didn't seem to care that the dogs weren't feeling well. I think they were taking other "emergency" animals ahead of us.so God knows how long it would be. I left and will go to a real emergency clinic. On the plus side, the staff was friendly enough like they knew that it was taking too long ..
