Typical meat market but well over priced. Good selection of marinated chicken, turkey and beef. ( If thats what your looking for)
Their website claims they sell game meats like wild boar and venison ect I drove 40 miles round trip only to find out that wasn't true. I asked the two guys behind the counter and they looked at me like I was an idiot saying "we dont carry that at any of our locations. I showed one of them their website and was told unapologetically, "oh we will have to remove that from our website."

Went there tonite to get a pizza walked in at 25 min to 7. Being from Meredith and buying quite a bit of food throughout the year, I know there hours. Food has always been good until recently. And now their service is going down the tubes, back to the pizza, after standing in line for 10 min while one of there workers took an order over the phone, finally another worker asked if he could help. Yes I replied I would like to order a Large The Works pizza. Well ahh were getting ready to close. It was 6:46 Never never again wine and butcher in Meredith.

First off this is my first review for a restaurant I am not a picky eater and much respect the food industry.

    With that being said.

I agree the meats looked good but I will never try them due to my experience with their sandwiches.worst experience I've had in a long time as it took 40 min for 2 burritos spaghetti with butter and chicken fingers and it was not a busy day! The burritos we're unbearably hot ( coming from a person who loves spice ) and the spaghetti that's advertised on the "kids" menue turned out to be linguini wich most kids do not like including mine.

$40 and 40 min I will never get back

If you want great meats, prepared foods, mouth watering desserts, this is the only place to go. Yummo!

EDIT: Down to three stars from five, due to three consecutive messed-up take-out orders, and now that I've gotten an order of fine wings elsewhere ($6.20 for 8, instead of the $8.99 for 6 wings here), I'm starting to really think that this place is just overpricing for the out-of-towners.

The marinated meats and the cold pre-made food are of good quality and are delicious, but the thing I like most are the prepared foods. I've had almost everything on their menu over the years, including the sadly no-longer-available, Rajun Cajun. The good: the Jalapeño Bleu Burger is rad, the Witches wing sauce is so good that I get it on the side so I can put it on sandwiches and such, they carry almost every variety of Mitchell's Fresh salsa, and in the deli section they have pork roll. Now the bad, in increasing order of badness: sometimes the burgers and wings are overcooked (but still tasty), the Northender seems to have shrunk recently, and curiously, they recently bumped up the price of wings to $17.99 for 12 wings. Because they make such great food, I'll pretend that the last one is a typo and give them five stars anyway.

Do you enjoy extravagantly over-spending on slightly better than average steak? Well, this is your place! Be sure to get out your wallet (and a calculator) you're going to need it. Treat yourself to some flavor-bomb steak tips and typical side dishes whose price tag tries oh-so-hard to convince you it is gourmet-quality. The marinade was so tenderizing it dissolved the money right of my my wallet. Why go to a restaurant when you can spend the same money and have to cook it yourself? Don't forget to pick up a six pack of over-priced beer on the way out!
