I saw on their website that they purchased jewelry. I copied this direct from their website to paste here to show you what I read.

"The Sawyer family has been buying and selling Estate Jewelry for three generations. Our varied collection is made possible because we purchase and consign from attorneys, estates, other jewelers and individuals."

I had a beautiful diamond wedding band/engagement set that was soldered but could've been taken apart. Every stone was real diamond, gold was real gold.

When I went in to sell my ring, they told me they were not buying jewelry. They said that they were having a hard time selling princess cuts, which is what my ring was.

I admit that I may not have been so pleasant, considering I had driven specifically there because they said in their web page that they buy estate jewelry, and also due to the circumstances that caused me to have to sell my ring in the first place.

I understand that they may not like every piece of jewelry or may have the right to refuse to buy, but the woman didn't even look at what i had /before she said they weren't buying. I said "can I at least show you the ring?" They were not even going to take the time to look at what I had.

Terrible business, If and when I need to buy jewelry again, it will not be at Sawyers

Very friendly owner. This store is one of two places in this state where you can buy a legitimate Rolex watch. I told him I stopped by because I had never seen a Rolex up close before other than on the web. I told him there was no way I could afford a Rolex, but hoped to one day be able to. Not only did he not mind, he told me all about them and sent me off with some literature to look over. The day I can afford a Rolex, which probably won't be for quite some time, I am coming here without any doubt.

My first visit to Sawyers Jewelry Store was in June 2009 when I entered their contest { I placed third!}. It was fun and I met some awesome people.

I was treated like a queen. No matter how small a purchase I made, the owner and his staff took care of me as though I had bought out the store. I had a special order for a beautiful holiday bracelet and received it for the sale price even though the sale was over.

I enjoy visiting the store and saying hello. I'm always welcomed and Jim listens to my "stories". It's like having an extended family in downtown Laconia.

Stop in and visit this unique jewelry store. I'm so glad I did.
