Lived here part time during the winters for ten years and never regretted a minute. Amazing place we play Executive Golf (included in $145 monthly fee) three to four times a week and 95% of the times during the high winter season we get Tee times before 10AM. April thru December Tee times are even better since we have 36 Executive and 13 ( 18-27 holes) Championship courses. You really have to visit here to see what is so difficult to describe. While there are a lot of homes, open space is huge because of the size of the place, 36 Square Miles. . Lastly, our home was purchased for $300,000 and is now valued at $400,000. If you choose to buy somewhere else, do not visit the Villages after you made your decisionyou will surely be disappointed you did not at least come here for a visit.

We have lived here 7 years Initially it was great although we found the hordes that come here in the winter a little hard to take. Now the "developer" is embarking on a huge expansion, adding 22000 more homesites. This is after everyone was told no more expansion beyond the Brownwood area. If you choose to come here, be prepared for congestion, congestion and long wait for everything. If you plan to play golf with a foursome, you may not get a tee time of you liking in the winter months. One thought, "have you ever seen anything get better once it becomes more popular and bigger?" So, buyer beware, this place isn't what is seems.

I live in The Villages & it is wonderful. What's not to like about paradise. It's beautiful all the time & the residents here are very friendly.

We have friends who live in The Villages and love it. We also met a group of about 90 Villagers on a recent cruise. They were having a good time and had very good things to say about The Villages and all the club and activities there. Also all the restaurants and amenities right on the property. I think a good way to check it out is a visit for a week or so. They do have rentals available.
