Excellent food, great atmosphere, and best of all excellent wait staff. All in all a wonderful place to celebrate any occasion or just a night out with your favorite person!

This was my first time at the Steer Barn. We had a reservation at 630pm and decided to get together as a family (7adults, 2 children) and then go see the Christmas lights. However, we did not make it to the lights because it took 3 hours to finally get our entree. The waitress told us they were behind because of the "large party upstairs" however, the table next to us received their meal at least an hour before our table even though they were seated 1/2 hour after. The meat was good, but when the meal finally came 3/7 plates were missing or had the wrong side and 1 meal was forgotten. Also, the potatoes were not fully cooked through. It was a disappointing dinner, especially at the price we paid. I hope it was just an off night, regrettably, I hesitate to return.

My husband and I were greeted and seated promptly. Our server, Tracy was friendly. We waited over an hour for our food. We were told there was a bridal party that was causing the delay. My husband's pop was completely flat so I asked to exchange it. It took over 20min to get another. The garlic toast was so overwhelming with the garlic and the second loaf we received was stale and the butter was rock hard. My salad, that didn't come with the extra ranch I asked for, was terrible. The dressing had the consistency of water. My baked potato was small and cold. We both had the prime rib and it was nothing but fat. My entire plate was covered with it. The only edible thing on my plate was the potato salad. Very disappointing! I could've spent $1 on a McDonald's burger instead of $70 & it would have been more enjoyable! We will never go back.

Great prime rib the service was very well done. The server even allowed us to split a prime rib meal with our two sons. Which worked out wonderfully.

This place was so bad in so many ways other then friendliness. Starting with the water that taste like a garden hose. You would think at a classy steak house you could get filtered water. Nope. Even with 4 or 5 lemons it still taste like a rubber hose. Then come this hard over toasted bread that tasted like chewing on hard raw flacky garlic. So off to a bad start. Then comes the appatisers. We had sauerkraut balls and popper. Balls still frozen in middle. We returned those. Popper were not much better or fully cooked either. Then comes this dish with 3 sides that was a basic Patato saled, sliced carrots and a pea type saled. Weird, really didn’t go w anything we ordered. Then our saleds come and they had that horrible garlic bread burnt stuff as croutons in it. So far nothing even okey to eat or drink. Then come a 2nd bread roll thing that was simple bread. Finally a piece of bread that taste like bread. Wow. Now to our dinner. We had a couple steaks and for $30+ bucks each we thought finally something good is coming. Boy was we wrong. I ordered mine medium and there was no pink. Little over chared too. Taste did not indicate choice beef. The other was closer to order but way to Fattie. I find it hard to beleave those cuts were choice. We will not be back. Save yourself the time and money. Had better steak at Waffle House. Sad really.

We just stopped on our way to Cincinnati. As a waitress at a steakhouse, I have to say the food and service was excellent. Lauren was outstanding and everything was delicious. We will stop next time we are in the area. As for the negative comments about price in other reviews, you get what you pay for and our experience was worth every dime. Thank you again Lauren.

I was here this weekend with my husband and what a jem we found! Our server was Clare and she was just a doll. She made our experience over the top! The steaks were tender and delicious! Will be back for sure! Love the layout. Its a must stop!

Excellent food! Excellent service! We had Kirsten who was being trained and she did awesome! This place is not a chain restaurant and is in an old barn! Decor is barn and farm related interior lighting is on the darker side! I highly recommend!

We went here for our wedding anniversary. The appetizer "salad" tray is outdated and the garlic bread was literally cheap white bread dried to crouton crispness and sprinkled with garlic powder. I ordered my steak medium but it was cooked passed well done to burnt. My husband ordered a sirloin and over half the steak was just globs of fat. The wait staff was friendly. We were extremely disappointed in our meal. Fast food would have been a better anniversary meal :( I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. In fact, I have told everyone I know what a poorly cooked meal we had. I hope the owners improve this restaurant as Upper needs to keep small businesses alive.

Used to eat here frequently but we saved it as special place cause it was always so good. We decided to go this evening cause we haven't been there for long time and I'm sorry to say worst meal we've had in long time any where!! I ordered prime rib and it was grilled, I think they didn't have any ready so they threw a ribeye on flat grill. Tasteless Well almost, couple times I thought it was old meat. The margarita tasted like sweet sour bar mix with a funky after taste. Wish I had ate more garlic toast so my taste buds wouldn't have been subjected to the meal. This place is 40-50 out of our way so we won't be wasting our time going there again😢 bye Steer Barn

We were leary after reading some of the reviews, but they proved to be unfounded. Excellent service, great wine choices, steaks done to perfection. My only criticism would be an excess of food! Every little detail was perfect. We are picky about our steaks, my husband's is well done and mine medium rare. We rate this restaurant a 10!

The prices are high for the size and cuts, but we wanted a steak. Ordered the Delmonico Rib Eye medium rare, it came well done. Said something so the cook sent the replacement out rare.
Frankly if you cannot handle cooking a steak you should not be a cook! Was rather frustrated and told the Manager so. Paid for all the other meals but that steak and told them why.
Service was good though. The other meals were adequate but bland.
