On of my favorite places in the New River Valley. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is very relaxed and fun. I have celebrated many of life's events with friends and family at this restaurant and will continue to do so.

We were there for a rehearsal dinner. The food was very good. The mashed potatoes were the best! Very tasty.

Whether it's a date night, special occasion, or a just because, eating at the Palisades is always one of my favorite experiences. The eclectic atmosphere, friendly staff and owner Shaena Muldoon all combine to make you feel comfortable and a VIP. We are so very fortunate to have such a venue in our own backyard, so to speak. Be sure to check them out!!!

I loved the drive in from Blacksburg. Super windy mountainside road leading into the small rustic town really set the mode for my dining experience. The atmosphere really sets the farm to table experience off. I had the "local beef" and besides the carrots seemingly under cooked it was the flavor of the cast iron skillet that set the dish off. So good. When I'm in town next I'll definitely be coming back.

It's a hike to get there from most places, but well worth it. It's a lovely drive, and the Sunday brunch is interesting and innovative. Reservations recommended!

The best restaurant in Southwest Virginia. Worth finding and driving to Eggleston, on the New River.
Local beef, trout. Cheese plate; oysters; wood-fired pizzas. Beer, wine.

This is my new favorite restaraunt. Best gluten free pizza I've ever tasted. I seriously recommend the spicy shrimp dip. That stuff is good!!! Also my first time here completely impressed by the service here!

The Palisades is a special treasure of the New River Valley. We've been splurging on restaurants in the DC area lately and the food at the Palisades is as good as any place we've been in DC. The entrees are inventive and tasty and the desserts well, the desserts are among the best desserts I've ever tasted. If you like layers of flavors and textures, (especially in your desserts), then you owe yourself a visit to the Palisades.
We've used the upstairs room for a rehearsal dinner; the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was wonderful and fun. Their entire staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
