There aren't a lot of "must see" places on the Keweenaw, or places to eat for that matter. So we made the incredibly out-of-the-way trip to downtown Gay, Mi. There were a LOT of bad gay jokes, and not so great and overpriced food. But it's one of those things that you have to say you've been to, and now we have been there.

Hey, when you're going Gaystop in and have a bite and an adult beverage. Truthfully, it's the only bar for miles. The food is good and the beer, plentiful.
Oh, and by the waymy wife says "Don't tell them about the secret peep hole in the women's room where we can spy on the guys!!"

If you're ever near Gay, it's worth the effort to stop in for a beer.

Fun place to be! Pool tables, stocked bar and great food. The staff is friendly and the bar has it's own charm. I personally love the hot dogs here, but all the food is good. Stop by on your next adventure to the gay sands or just want to have some fun at the gay bar and fill up.

Definitely unique. The town of Gay has existed since the 1800' s, well before the word took on the meaning it has today. So the owners have taken advantage of today's connotation and twisted it in a different direction with t-shirt and bumper sticker phrases no one else would be able to get away with. Let's just say these aren't shirts you'd let your kids wear. Aside from that the food is great. And who can't resist the chance to say they've been to the "gay bar " and laugh inside over the looks they get from their straight friend's.

Great place ,good service, and good Patriots. Wish have larger menu with better hot platters. Light hot turkey, roast beef with mush potatoes. Food like that.
