Very fast and responsive. I bought aftermarket fobs for my Honda Pilot on Amazon, and they had no trouble cutting and programming both of them for me for a very reasonable price! Much cheaper than a dealer and the people were super-friendly.

I was fully prepared to buy a new fob and pay to have it programmed for our old Acura. Judah invited me to come to the shop with my old fobs to see if he could get them working. I had changed batteries with no luck so I assumed they were done for. Ten minutes after I got there, he had them both working and out the door paying only $12. This place is wonderful.

I’ve had the Lock Doctor out to my house in the past but I dropped in unexpectedly one morning in July, 2021 with a special request. I had an old lock from a large door that wasn’t working. I knew this was going to be an expensive replacement so I thought I’d give the Lock Doctor a shot to fix it. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Judah (locksmith) who consulted with Ryan (another locksmith). After taking the lock apart, they were able to quickly diagnose the issue. However, putting an old lock back together wasn’t an easy task but Ryan dropped his other project and dedicated almost a full hour to get this old, complicated lock back together. Meanwhile, after Judah assisted him for awhile, he noticed my 8-year-old was fascinated with their large safes and began to open them up so my son could see what was inside (as well as answer all of his 8-year-old questions). Instead of paying for the expensive replacement, I walked out with a fixed lock at an incredibly reasonable price.

I got two Honda sidewinder keys cut total of $30. They even lubricated the lock on my car while waiting for the second key to finish. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Horrible experience. Guy was rude overall and either uninformed or else didn't care. We needed a replacement key for our Mazda - he told me sure they could do that. I showed him the key and he said the replacement key would work fine everywhere even without the chip. It didn't. When I came back he told me he never said that and it would be a bunch more money to do the right key.

I was told by a dealer my car key had lost programming. I checked here for the reviews and the good far outweighed any negatives. I spoke with Mark and he quoted $60 for trip charge and about $40 for programming. He showed up on time even though he had an unlock to do on the way. He called to let me know of the delay and was still there earlier than expected. The bad news is the programming didn't work but he did it 3 times to make sure. He only charged me the trip charge which I was more than happy to pay. Definately recommend.

I had a keypad, an electromagnetic lock and the need for an emergency exit releaseI didn't have a clue how to wire it all together, and was at my wits end. As a last ditch effort - I showed up at The Lock Doctor at close to closing time and asked for help. Everyone there wanted to help, and in the end the two electrical guys and even the owner took the time to work through my difficult equation and made it all work. The customer service there and the friendliness behind it was extraordinary. If I even have so much as a key that needs to be copied - from now on - I will go no where else. Thanks, guys.

phone experience only lock doctor was a great listener and so helpful! really explained my problem and gave me a cheaper, easier solution then when i said i wasn't nearby, he recommended two other locksmiths CLASSY way to run a business!!!

The gentleman that came to the house was very nice and kind. He went way above being a locksmith to unlock the door. I would definitely recommend this company! Showed up in a reasonable amount of time also. Back in the house within minutes of his arrival.

We have used Rick and his crew since 1987 for home and office. Nothing but quality service and I think great value. I also love supporting a Lees Summit business to keep my tax dollars in town.

Used them twice in 2 days. Jeff and Dennis came out, 1 on one day and the other on then 2nd day, my choice.Both men were professional and they were good at getting in! Both men were security minded too! They request I.D. so to verify that I had the right to get into the storage lockers and my house. The price was fair too. If I need a lock smith again, I will call them. They had vans that were labeled and wore uniforms. It is nice to know that the person helping me, is who I called. I had my truck towed, by ANOTHER company; and left my keys on the dash. The door came open and all my keys were lost! Thanks to the Lock Doctor, I was able to get into my storage lockers, so I could go to work; and sleep in my house. The storage company uses those cylinder locks, but this company was able to get me into them. Thanks.
