Amazing food. Can't say this enough. Very pricy, but well worth it. Very small, new, intimate atmosphere, with a hipster vibe. Tomatoes are grown on the back patio, and used in the food! Great drinks as well.
Let me first start by saying I get the attraction of this place. Its a funky, cool restaurant with a neat vibe in a growing town that is in need of cool funky neat vibe type places. The staff was friendly and our server was great. It was really the food. I was there with a party of 10 and everyone ordered something different for the most part. At the end of the evening we all agreed that for the price the food was just not that great. Certainly not any better than the food you would get at a restaurant that would be much less congested and for probably 30% less $$. So, if you want to go somewhere strictly because it seems to be the place to "be seen" and it's cool because it's hard to get a table then try this place out and expect a high bill. If you just want great food and don't really care about where you go, then there are other fine restaurants in the surrounding area that are MUCH better.
Excellent! Fantastic! What else can be said? The food is great! The staff is very nice and knowledgeable! Drinks are good! Just wish it was closer to home!
Very good food. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would have given a better rating, but it was incredibly noisy. Additionally, my husband and I came in just before 11:30 am. There were several tables available. We were seated at a table right by the kitchen door, so we had a steady stream of wait staff swinging the door open and shut the entire time. My view was of the handprints on the door. This table should be reserved for the last customers in.
This place is cool
A unique ambiance with 50s , deco, tables and chairs.
They brew their own beer which is a plus.
My sandwich was huge and good. My wife did not like the lack of meatballs on hers.
Service was fair.
Food is quite good. We came for lunch and it took about 15 minutes to get 1 sandwich and some soup. I would recommend if you’re looking for a nice deli style sandwich.
Fantastic food and very unique sandwiches, breakfast and dinner items. Great service. Wide variety of items. I have been going here for years a d have enjoyed everything I have had.
Great cocktails, reasonably priced for an upscale menu, unique dishes, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere. This was my wife and my first visit to The Laundry, and it surpassed our expectations. It's the best establishment of its kind that we've been to in the area. Everything was great, and the Falafel Waffle Lamb Sliders were a creative and unique meld of flavors that brought great joy to our taste buds.
Outstanding. Refreshing. Shannon is a great server! The in-house magician, Tyler is talented and the entertainment was an amazing addition to the food! Portion sizes are perfect and enough for one plate to feed two people. Overall I had a wonderful experience. Thank you.
Mine and my fiancees experience here last week was perfect.
We were in the area and decided to stop in for some dinner and a few cocktails. Our server was James, and he was seriously fantastic; very professional, knew the whole menu, was very observant, and was on his A-game even though his section was full.
We got the fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade as an appetizer, and it was crazy how on point it was. We looked over the cocktail menu (which was huge), and asked James for recommendations. I wanted some gin, so he recommended the "Bee's Knees", which has honey they get from their own apiary on their roof. No surprise, it was as good as it sounded.
For dinner, my fiancee got the shrimp enchilada skillet, which she loved. I was in the mood for something rich, so I got the scallop risotto. I don't want to sound like I'm exaggerating, but it seriously was mind boggling how well executed it was. The risotto itself was the best I've ever had, just based on texture alone. It had sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, and a subtle note of goat cheese. And the scallops were just out of this world; they had the perfect sear on the outside, and just with my fork were incredibly easy to cut through (like butter), but were still fully cooked. Literally the definition of the perfect scallop.
We went in expecting to pay at least $100 before tip, which would have been totally fair based on our experience, but the total bill was like $85. I've been telling all of my foodie friends to go here, and we will be back soon! :)
I love this place, what can I say? Wish it wasn't so far away, but it's worth the drive just to eat there. They have a huge selection of craft cocktails and a rotating selection of craft beers on tap. For me, their lunch menu is the best! Tons of delicious sandwich options. I've yet to find any other restaurant that offers anything similar! I always tell myself that I will save half my sandwich for later, but it never works. I can't resist gobbling the whole thing down then and there! Expect a wait on the weekends, but it's definitely worth it.
Amazing food, generous portions, trendy atmosphere. Service is a bit slow, however, the experience makes up for that. Also, the take out area is off the chain! Great pastries, coffees, and wine out the door!
COMFORT FOODIE EXPERTS - BEER ENTHUSIAST - LA/NYC FEEL
This is the spot to take someone out of town to get a unique perspective on what Michigan inspired meals can offer. The Bar is set up for fast pace and very knowledgeable mixologists giving you a preview of what current local beers on tap or limited time best sellers. Speakeasy style alcohol *elixirs*. Seriously. They know what the hell they're talking about if you inquire or prefer a specific taste/blend/etc.
All I'll say about the food is you will NOT want to share. You may have ordered what you thought was a simple spaghetti but it's actually the ancient/cult way Italian grandmothers prepare it fresh from Tuscany.
Check out their desserts. People peek in to see what crazy sweet treat they've mixed up from CRUST down the street. Depending on time of day could be 10/15 minute if most seats are taken. The wait is worth it. Super friendly staff. It will be your favorite new spot 😊
Nice place, but the food was not as good as I had heard it was. Staff was great even though getting our food took a little time. Nice atmosphere, unique decor. Parking is around back and there doesn't seem to be a lot. Only one unisex bathroom.
Oh my gosh, this is one of my most favourite places to go eat! EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING is freaking delicious! All from their drinks to their foodI mean it's incredible! I am drooling all over again just from remembering what I have eaten. They have seasonal dishes as well, and I try to order those, since these are not offered ubiquitously. The environment is very charming and old-fashioned looking. It's a perfect place for brunch and/or dates. Pricing is reasonable, but the quality of food is excellent!
