Breathtakingly beautiful. I was in attendance for an event and so can't comment on the rooms but the building and surrounding grounds are gorgeous. Staff was pleasant and coffee was very good.

I loved staying here! It was so nice and can't wait to go back! Jim is really nice and was very helpful throughout our stay! Definitely recommend! Go to the spa if you have time too - my massage was excellent!

The massage was not good at all, not worth the money!! The massage therapist Was nice but the massage felt so rushed and there was no pressure applied at all. Being a massage therapist myself, I understand Swedish/relaxation massage is not for deep pressure however this massage was so light to the touch that is made me want to jump out of my skin. The therapist did the same stoke throughout the whole massage, the drapes were very sloppy and he only worked on my calf not my whole leg. The therapist also talked throughout the majority of the massage. The massage was a half hour and the therapist felt so rushed, it was not relaxing at all. This is the second time i have had a very disappointing massage at Gideon Putnam, shame on me for going back. It was so dispointing to go to a high end spa, pay $75 for a 30 minute massage and not feel the least bit relaxed. I would only recommend Gideon Putnam for the baths not for massage services!

I attended a conference here with Parks staff and members of their affiliated friends groups from around New York State. The conference rooms were perfectly prepared, and hotel staff maintained a pleasant experience throughout the day-long affair. Breakfast and lunch were served buffet-style, and everything was delicious. The hotel setting and staff allowed attendees to focus on the task at hand by providing for all our needs.

Beautiful grounds. Wonderful meeting rooms. Cozy guest rooms. I always love my visits at the Gideon Putnam! The staff is also very attentive. Can't wait to utilize their spa services on my next visit!!

Nice building but rooms weren't great. Doors didn't shut properly, other misc issues. This wasn't just my room but my family's as well.

The rooms were clean. The bathrooms needed a little paint. Looks like they will be renovating the rooms & lobby soon according to signs. The locale is very scenic. Good restaurants a short drive away.

This historic and elegant resort hotel tucked in the lovely, expansive state park is the best place to stay in Saratoga Springs, especially if you're going to SPAC. The food and the staff are outstanding. The Roosevelt Baths and Spa is pure heaven. Just the best!

Such a lovely hotel. I loved my room, the food and the service. Rode bikes, went to the mineral baths and spa, did not want to leave. Beautiful here.

Lovely location. Very Friendly, helpful staff.

The building is old, but the rooms are nice size. We had issues with both the blinds and the TV, but they were corrected almost as soon as we mentioned the problems. It is rare for so many staff to ask if there is anything they can do for you, and mean it! I am truly I pressed with the service!

Amazing and historicallybeautiful place. The rooms were fantastic. Spacious, clean with a vintage look. Great shuttle to take you around. The brunch buffet was delicious.

Older hotel, but with charm. Front desk staff very kind. Bring your own drinks or cash, as the vending machines only take cash. Rooms included a fridge, and were quite comfortable. Breakfast was good. We did book a spa package and that was fantastic.

My family and I stayed for the New Years week end and we had the best time. I almost cancelled our trip last minute because we have 3 teenagers and I was afraid they weren't going to have enough to do. I am so glad I didn't because we all had a great time and there was plenty to do. We bought the first night out pins and the town put on a great show with approx 70 different kinds of venues from comedy, magicians and every kind of musical act and they finished it off with a 30 minute firework display at midnight. The down town area was a lot of fun with many different kinds of restaurants, bars and shops to choose from. The hotel had so much character and the grounds were amazing with all kinds of walking paths, hiking and free snow shoeing that we did to the geysers in the state park located behind the hotel. If you like skating bring your skates because there's a big outdoor rink behind the hotel. We also tried there mineral baths that were so relaxing. To top it off we decided to go snowmobiling at Lake George that was only a half an hour ride from the hotel and that was a big hit with the family.
