A cosy, local bar with a nice restaurant section, lots of live acts, a terrace, a fireplace.. what more could you want? Mad Jack brews here, too, keeping a steady supply of solid beers on tap.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch and drinks recently. Still serving outdoors due to very summer like October weather. Excellent service and nice atmosphere.

A nice place for some craft brew. They serve their own Mad Jack line. Also serve basic (not craft) beer as well. They are a resturant bar with a full menu. (Much more than bar food). Wednesday is half off apps.

Very interesting menu, food has been consistently good each time and the brews are always different based on season. Nice musical acts add to the great atmosphere.

I have seen some great Blues and Folk singers there. It's the best place for food drink and music. And what a place it is! A upscale restaurant down stairs and a bar and tables around a small stage upstairs. I saw Dave Van Ronk there, sat at the bar with him before he went on. What a great performance it was!

Excellent brewpub! Lots of varied styles. If you didn't like this place a few years ago, come back and try it again! The food was also very good. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Can't decide if it's an outstanding neighborhood bar or a pretty good regional place. Come for the beer, stay for the fun and food.

The food was good, but it would have been better if it didn't take 2 hours (literally) to get our appetizers. Service left something to be desired. I expected better.

Food is delicious and they have a great drink menu. I've been here for the Soup Stroll and Restaurant Week. Both great times.

I came to the Van Dyck with friends for New Year's Eve and was absolutely delighted at the special menu they provided for the night! Each special item menu came with a beer sample, which was really cool. I ended up ordering the Mad Jack Mac (Mac n cheese with broccoli) and it was AMAZING. One of my friends ordered the baked haddock, which also looked really good so I had to steal a bite! Our waitress was friendly (as they always are when we go here), and it was just a nice atmosphere to be in before going out to celebrate. We'll be back again, as always!

This place had reasonable food and good serviceand pretty good atmosphere, very cozy decor and nice old historic building -- lots of character. I see why people would like it here - I think it would be fun on a weekend night maybe with a band playing. It was very quiet on the weeknight when we stopped in for a bite while there from out of town. Honestly my food was just ok, but I would give it another chance if I lived there or if i am in town again -- just to see what the norm is for their food. The place has great potential and is worth a try.
