Wonderful place to eat. Very clean & the service is great. Food is just like home cooking very delicious. They will defiantly fill u up. Highly recommend Farmers Daughter to all. Veterans are very welcomed there.

This is a good place to meet and eat and spend time together with friends, they have excellent wait staff and they are very good at filling your glasses even before you ask them to. All of my group was full as ticks. We almost didn't have enough room to get donuts and pretzels on that food truck outside!

Food & service was great! We had about 70 people so we filled up the back room & were able to get a huge variety of meats, along with the huge variety of vegetables. We ate some of each item & everything was really good, not too salty, & very flavorful. Drinks, desserts, cornbread, & rolls are included in the very reasonable price. Desserts come with a scoop of ice cream. This is the best family style restaurant we've ever visited!!!

Good food. The Alaskan whitefish was some the best fish I have had. All of us enjoyed the bread and cornbread, the sides were good and dessert great. Would visit again!

The service, food and hospitality was fantastic. They even told us to park our motorcycles under their carport. This was after they ran up the hill to where we were going to park, to tell us to park under the carport. They didn't have to do that and they did. Amazing place. Great food. The Staff makes you feel like family.

There was a time when the hallmarks of good southern country cooking were freshness, taste, and texture. Those days are long gone--at least in our area. The quality and skills that used to be passed from generation to generation have mostly been replaced with convenience products and an emphasis on quick and easy, with little skill or knowledge needed--or wanted. With that as the all-too-common denominator, restaurants like The Farmer's Daughter can get by with just about anything.

While this restaurant mostly serves scratch cooking, standards are decidedly low. Nothing seems to be prepared with skill or from quality recipes--if recipes are used at all. It's all overcooked, mushy, gloppy, and tired. The kitchen seems to have never heard of salt, much less fresh herbs, garlic, or even pepper. The rolls are coarsely made and lack flavor, and the desserts are made on the cheap. For example, the coconut cake seemed to be a safe choice, but was frosted with a substance unknown to nature and tasted absolutely vile! In short, the food looks and tastes like it's just been thrown together. Here and there the cooking approaches edible, but mostly it's just slop. A popular restaurant, but in my opinion it's not worth the trip.

I am from very large Texas country family and the food was just like home, including the amount of amazing vegetables that were just like my granny made! I was so shocked and pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to choose, we got a bowl of each and every one! Thanksgiving in June! The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was great! Definitely a 5 star rating for me and that says a LOT! It was worth the beautiful drive and I will certainly be making it againoften!

I had heard about this place and finally had the opportunity to try it. The waitress, a nice little, but some what hyper and intrusive young woman, could take lessons from some of the older, more experienced staff. There are a lot of meat choices but the portions are small. You get a lot of small side veggies, etc and you can have all of those you want. Some where better than others. They have nice rolls and cornbread. You also get dessert with the meal. The coconut pie was tasty. There was nothing outstanding about anything but nothing was bad. The atmosphere was nice. The price was a tad high. Different yes. Enjoyable yes. Not as good a destination/value as Gina's (just up the road) catfish on Friday nights.

The store next door has a few items that are nice and may be the only source of jalapeno cheese bread in upper east Tennessee.

Love this place! The food is excellent & teust me you get plenty of it! Our waitress was Jessica & she was so friendly & super helpful. The owner came by & spoke with is & even thanked us for coming from so far away. The restaurant was super clean & nicely decorated, bathrooms were clean & large enough for handicapped or larger sizes, some members of our family especially appreciated that :) We will definitely return soon!

"Decent" food and friendly people. I guess you really just have to like that kind of eating experience. For those who don't know, your entire table shares from one large plate of food, but each plate of food is a different kind of food. You just scoop off what you want onto your plate and then pass the plate to someone else. It's not really my cup of tea. Definitely not the best tasting or best kind of food, but the staff are nice and you don't have to cook it yourself. You always have to wait when you go there. It's good that it's that popular, but bad that you have to wait for what seems like forever.

Great service. Had a wide selection of meat and vegetables. You get 2 meats per table and all the vegetables/sides you want. Pulled pork was some of the best I've ever had. Excellent vinegar based BBQ sauce. P.S. They bring all of the sides to your table so if there are any you don't want let them know to reduce the waste.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Food is always great. Choose 2 main dishes and you will get as much as you can eat with tons of fixings. One warning: carrot souffle is the most addictive thing on earth.

Note: recently had a negative issue arise at this location that started to sway my thoughts about it. The male owner/manager really apologized for this issue and tried hard to make up for the problems. I am keeping my rating at 5 stars because he tried so hard to make it right. He was very respectful and accommodating to our problem. Still a wonderful family-style meal. They care about their customers.
